Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) and Advanced Diploma in Accounting from University of Malaya.

He is founder of Progressive Impact Corporation Berhad ("PIC") Group and has been Director of the Company since 1 November 1990. Prior to the setting up of the PIC Group in 1992, he held the position of Director of Finance in Shapadu Corporation from 1978 to 1982 and was then promoted to Group Executive Director of Shapadu Group of Companies, a position he held until he left in 1992.He set up Alam Sekitar Malaysia Sdn Bhd ("ASMA") in 1993 and was the initial Managing Director of ASMA. He was involved in Concession Agreement with the Government, setting up of the Continuous Air Quality Monitoring ("CAQM") and Continuous Water Quality Monitoring stations as well as the Environmental Data Centre. He was also involved in the formulation of the training program for the CAQM specialists/technicians with the Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary, Canada.
