Mr. Ooi Soo Kok is Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is also a member of Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow member of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia.
He served as an Articled Clerk at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. since 1973, where he started his career and subsequently joined Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd and served as its Financial Control Manager from 1980 to 1983.
In 1983, he set up his own public accounting firm, namely Por Ooi & Co.
He was a Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman of DXN Holdings Bhd for a period of 8 years since 11 August 2003, a public listed company on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad which was taken private on 27 December 2011.
