Ms. Joyce began her career as accounts executive in BBMB Securities Sdn. Bhd. (Formerly known as Smith Zain Securities Sdn. Bhd.) ["BBMB"] in 1999 and subsequently promoted as Head of Finance in 2002. In 2004, Ms. Joyce left BBMB and joined Hwang-DBS Securities Berhad as Officer in Internal Audit.
In January 2005, she joined Messrs. UHY as Audit Supervisor and left as Director in May 2016. During her tenure in Messrs. UHY, she in-charge of the day-to-day operations of UHY Penang, involving Human Resources, Business Development, Marketing, Employee Management, Cash Flow Management, Dealings with the Authorities and, Maintenance of Companies cash books and accounts.
In May 2016, she set up her own consulting firm, JWC Consulting Sdn. Bhd., together with a team of professionals serving Public Listed Companies by providing Business Process Reviews, Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Governance Reviews which are mandatory by Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and she is currently the Managing Director.
On 22 December 2017, she was appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Director of Grand-Flo Berhad and subsequently resigned in September 2019. She was appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Director of Dufu Technology Corp. Berhad on 23 May 2016, a position she still holds today.
