Dato’ Tham is currently the Managing Director of Eastern & Oriental Berhad and E&O Property Development Berhad. Dato’ Tham has wide experience in property development and investment. He was previously the Managing Director of Cheras Jaya Development Sdn Bhd from 1979 to 1984, and the Managing Director of Terra Ventures group of companies from 1984 to 1994. He was also a Director and Executive Director (Property group) of Land & General Berhad from 1988 to 1994.

Dato’ Tham is a substantial shareholder of Multi-Purpose Holdings Berhad ("MPHB"). He is deemed to have an indirect interest in 303,759,848 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in MPHB by virtue of Section 6A(4) of the Companies Act 1965 held through:- (a) his 39.8% shareholding in Dynamic Icon Sdn Bhd, which is the holding company of Quantum Aspects Sdn Bhd ("QASB"). QASB is a substantial shareholder of MPHB and Magnum Corporation Berhad; and (b) his substantial shareholding in E&O Property Development Sdn Bhd, which is a shareholder of MPHB. He does not hold any shares in the subsidiaries of MPHB other than through MPHB’s own interest in the subsidiaries.
