i) Graduated from South Bank Polytechnic, UK and Emile Woolf School of Accountancy, London, United Kingdom (UK). ii) Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. iii) Council Member and Chairman of the Public Relations Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Council Member of the Asean Federation of Accountants (AFA).

Datuk Nur Jazlan was a Management Executive in IGB Corporation Berhad in 1990. Thereafter in 1991, he assumed a Manager post in LKN Ltd and Equatorial Hotel (M) Sdn Bhd. In 1994, he was appointed as a Financial Controller by the then Usahasama Proton-DRB Sdn Bhd. Datuk Jazlan is also active in politics and was a Member of Parliament for the Pulai Parliamentary Constituency, Johor. He is currently the Head of UMNO for Pulai, Johor and Chairman of Barisan Nasional for the division.
