Mr. James Charles Barker has 35 years of experience in the fastener industry. He spent 10 years with TR Fastenings before leaving to form his own company, Fastener Techniques (UK) which was acquired by Trifast Plc ("Trifast") in 1993, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange. He joined the Board of Trifast in 1995 as Purchasing Director before playing a major role in overseeing the development of the Trifast Group of Far East and Scandinavian businesses. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Trifast in April 2002. He is a Board member of The British Association of Fastener Distributors and a member of the CBI South-East Council.
