Joined Jabatan Telekom (TM) in 1973. Vast experience in TM group and held various positions :- • Chief Operating Officer from 1996 to 31 Jan 2001 • Executive Director of TM Group from 1998 to 31 Jan 2001 • Executive Director, Corporate Strategy and Development from 1 Feb 2001 to 28 May 2001 • Group Deputy Chief Executive/Executive Director from 29 May 2001 until his retirement on 30 June 2004. He remained on the Board of TM as an Independent Non-Executive Director until April 2008. Others:- • First Malaysian elected as Chairman of Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO) in London from September 1999 to November 2002 • Joined the Board of Governor of Intelsat (International Satellite Consortium in Washington DC) for 2 years until its privatization in 2002. • Completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from the Harvard Business School and Senior Executive Development Program from the Wharton School of Business, Pennyslvania, USA. • Adjunct Professor of University Kebangsaan Malaysia. • Chairman/Board Member of a number of subsidiaries of TM.
