Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Singapore, Diploma in Management from the Malaysian Institute of Management, Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing and Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Prior to joining Texchem Resources Bhd., he was with Bernie Aluminium Sdn. Bhd. from 1980 to 1982 as a Factory Manager. He later joined General Electric Company of Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. from 1982 to 1986 as a Factory Manager. Subsequently, he joined Nilsen Electric Sdn. Bhd. as Manufacturing Manager from 1986 to 1988. He was the General Manager of Promedica Sdn. Bhd. between 1988 and 1989 before joining Texchem-Pack (KL) Sdn. Bhd. ["Texpack (KL)"] in 1989 as the General Manager. In 1990, he was appointed as Director of Texpack (KL) and was subsequently promoted to Deputy Managing Director and Managing Director of Texpack (KL) in 1992 and 1994 respectively. Then, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer and President of Texchem-Pack (M) Bhd. in 2002 and 2003 respectively.

As at the date of this announcement, he holds 16,500 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Texchem Resources Bhd.; and share held in trust for Texchem Resources Bhd's subsidiary - 1 ordinary share of Baht 100 each in Texchem-Pack (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
