Mr Tan Kai Hee is one of the founders, main policy and decision makers of Hai-O Enterprise Bhd (Hai-O) and a well-known businessman who has more than 40 years of commercial experience in the trading business.
He is also an active social worker involved in community work for the past 40 years and a founder & Secretary-General of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association (PPMC), the President of Malaysia-China Medicine & Health Product Association, Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC:Honorary President) and Malaysia-China Culture & Arts Association (PKKMC:President).
Mr Tan is a director of the Malaysia China Business Council and he sponsored the formation of Yayasan Usman Awang, a non-profit organization which honours the literary works of Malaysian National Laureate Dato Usman Awang.
In May 2015, Mr Tan has been re-elected as the President of Federation of Chinese and Medicine Dealers Association of Malaysia.

Mr Tan Kai Hee is the father of Mr Tan Keng Kang, who would be re-designated as the Group Managing Director of Hai-O with effect from 1 February 2016.
His family members, namely, Mdm Tan Siow Eng, Mr Tan Keng Kang, Ms Tan Keng Song and Mdm Phan Van Denh are the major shareholders of Hai-O.
