Tan Sri Mohd. Noor began his career in 1955 with the Department of Agriculture, Johor and left in 1967 to join Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) as Assistant Farm Director and later as Farm Director in 1970.
Tan Sri was appointed as Professor and Deputy Vice Chancellor from 1975 before he retired from UPM in 1983.
Tan Sris involvement in private sector started in 1983 as the Managing Director of Kumpulan FIMA Berhad and finally appointed as the Executive Director when Kumpulan FIMA underwent Management Buy-Out which subsequently went public in 1996.
He was also a Board Member of Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute and Chairman of Marditech Corporation Sdn Bhd until 2016.
Upon retirement from Kumpulan FIMA Berhad in 2003, Tan Sri served as Independent Director and Chairman of Tradewinds (M) Bhd, Corporate Advisor to Tradewinds (M) Berhad, Tradewinds Plantation Berhad and Padiberas Nasional Berhad.
Tan Sri was also Council Member of Malaysian Palm Oil Association and President of Malaysian Agricultural Producers Association.
He also sat on the Advisory Panel for the Development of the Agriculture Sector, Member of National Labour Advisory Council, Ministry of Human Resource.
Tan Sri also served as Member of MPOBs Programme Advisory Committee, Board Member of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Board Member of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Board Member of Majlis Penasihat Universiti Utara Malaysia, Member of National Wages Consultative Council, Ministry of Human Resource and Council Member of Malaysian Employers Federation.
Amongt the various positions held by Tan Sri were as Director of Kumpulan FIMA Berhad Group of subsidiaries, Rothmans (M) Bhd, British American Tobacco and Chairman of Nationwide Express Courier Services Berhad.
Tan Sri had also served as Member of National Sports Council, Ministry of Youth & Sports and Council Member of Occupational Health & Safety, Ministry of Human Resource.

He is a director of Fima Corporation Berhad, Nationwide Express Courier Services Berhad and Tradewinds (Malaysia) Berhad.

He has no family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder.
