Mr Brockett has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a qualified Chartered Accountant in South Africa and Australia. He has also completed various business studies at Charles Sturt University and Oxford University in the UK.

Prior to joining the Carlsberg Group, Mr. Gavin Brockett was the Senior Vice President and Global Controller of Levi Strauss & Co.
He has many years of experience in the consumer beverage industry having been employed by SABMiller Plc initially in South Africa in 1991 and thereafter the SABMiller subsidiaries in Czech Republic and then in Italy. He also held various leadership positions in the Carlsberg Group between 2010 to 2013, and again from 2014 to 2016.
Mr. Gavin Brockett has been appointed as the Vice President Finance, Asia of Carlsberg Breweries A/S with effect from 1 January 2022.
