He was attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a few months before starting his career in Malaysia Airlines in July, 1973. Since joining the airline, he has been on various assignments/postings to MAS stations overseas. Some of his major assignments include 9 months in Tokyo from November, 1975, a year in Indonesia from August 1976, then on to Phillippines as Area Manager from July 1977. In June, 1979 he was in London for six months to relieve the Area Manager, UK. His next stint took him to Paris in January 1980 as Area Manager, France & Southern Europe. Returning to Malaysia to take up the position of Regional Manager, Sarawak, he was based in Kuching from October, 1984 to July 1987 after which he was back in Kuala Lumpur to take up the position of Regional Manager covering Peninsular Malaysia & Singapore. He left for Los Angeles for his transfer as Vice President, Americas from February 1990 for seven years. In October 1997 he was once again relocated to London on his last overseas posting as Vice President United Kingdom & Europe. In June 2001, he returned to Kuala Lumpur to take up his present position of Senior General Manager, Sales, Distribution & Marketing. He was appointed as Managing Director on 1 April 2004.
