Dato' Wong Lee Yun
has extensive experience in investment banking, finance and strategic planning for large investment projects, acquisition of strategic businesses, fund raising and investor relations. In her 10 years in investment banking, Dato' Wong was a Corporate Finance Manager at Permata Chartered Merchant Bank, and subsequently went on to head the investment banking for Malaysia at Chase Manhattan Bank, now known as JP Morgan. From 1991 to 1996, she was the Director of Finance and Strategy for the Renong Group of Companies. Dato' Wong became the Chief Executive of Jaya Tiasa Holdings Berhad from 1997 to 2000. She was also a Director of Sin Chew Media Corporation Bhd from 2004 to early 2008 and the Chairman for Malaysia for TC Capital, a regional investment bank based in Singapore from 2007 to 2020.
Presently, Dato' Wong is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (Bank), an appointment since 15 July 2020, and also the Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Risk Committee of the Bank. She also actively invests in businesses and holds directorships in several private limited companies which she founded.
