Encik Hidzir Bin Yahya retired from Bank Negara Malaysia in 2012, after having served the Bank for 35 years. Throughout his 35 years with the Bank, he has served in various departments including Bank Examination Department and Bank Regulation Department. He was involved in enforcing the provision of the Banking and Financial Institution Act, 1989 and other related banking laws under the preview of Bank Negara Malaysia. His area of expertise includes Islamic banking, banking regulation, anti-money laundering laws etc. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of ERF Sdn Bhd (Tabung Pemulihan Usahawan). During economic crisis 1998 2002, he served as the Head of Secretariat for Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (CDRC). CDRC is one of the agency (beside Danaharta and Danamodal) set up by the Government to revive the Malaysian economy during the crisis. From 2002 to 2012 he served as Managing Director / CEO of TPPT Sdn. Bhd., a company set up by Bank Negara Malaysia to revive the abandoned housing projects in Malaysia, to build affordable houses and also to manage the fund to build houses for the hard core poor. While at Bank Negara, he has attended many seminars, meetings and conferences in various part of the world such as New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Middle East countries etc.
