Dato' Harjit's professional journey began in 1982 at Malaysia Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd, where as a Senior Executive, he played a pivotal role in expanding the Ship Repair business. His efforts resulted in securing significant contracts with major companies such as Shell, Exxon and Chevron, establishing a solid foundation for the growing marine industries in the 1980s. In 1995, he transitioned to Sabah Shipyard Berhad as Vice President, where he spearheaded the growth of the Power Generation Unit and engineering activities overseas. His experience in the African continent and the Caribbean enabled the company to secure crucial Power Purchase Agreements and engineering contracts, driving substantial growth. As Vice President of Techno Asia Holdings Berhad, he managed EPC contracts, banking, and other commercial activities, leveraging his extensive experience in the international finance market. His role as a Representative for the Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe further underscores his ability to facilitate foreign direct investment and navigate complex international markets. Currently, as Co-founder and Chairman of MonitorBio Group Sdn Bhd & Pte Ltd, Dato' Harjit Singh has co-pioneered the development of a cost-effective COVID-19 test kit using saliva, forming strategic alliances with leading healthcare providers in Malaysia. This innovative venture highlights his commitment to strategic growth and addressing global challenges through technological advancements. Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavours, he is deeply committed to corporate social responsibility activities. His role in social services allows him to contribute to the betterment of society, fulfilling his passion to serve and uplift communities.
