Kenneth: u decide hold or not hold is your choice no doubt. But just accept the truth and admit that is a mistake of that time u all in at the price. Every people make a mistake. The important point is we have to realize the mistake and admit it. U can only change it and become better in future after u admit it! :)
Think of this, next time don't all in no matter how you confident on the share as we r not God and is usual to make mistake in share market especially we are still newbie in market.
Set a financial plan and goal for yourself and not just all in and think that the stock can make you a millionaire or financial freedom..
Always make a safety plan for yourself.
Remember that one time loss can ruined all profit you have earned or even make you in financial trouble.

Sometimes we have to face our mistake instead just saying that I'm hold this stock for long term so the drop of price does not affect me. Is true but since u expect it will drop why u still want to buy the stock now?

No doubt hupseng is a good fundamental stock but look into its PE. Is very high already and the last quarter result does not match the rise of the PE. Is okay if the money u invest in this stock is the money you can lose it all.

Do u ever think if u lose 50% this time, you have to gain back 100% next round in order to gain back the cost u put....
Please be realistic and don't invest by emotion...

@tom: this is because the par value of public bank is RM1.00, that's y 30 percent is equal to 0.30... zzzz. if hupseng declare 30 percent then the dividend is only 0.03 only

And about the cash dividend and stock dividend. It will stated in the announcement dy.. for your cases, if it already announced RM0.02 dividend per share, that means it will pay as a cash dividend, no way it will pay as a share dividend by converting it back to the share value.. the company will only pay share dividend by bonus issue

30% u should look into the par value of the stock... every stock has different par value... can't simply use 0.30... if u use 0.30 that means the par value is RM1.00.. does the par value of pbbank is RM1.00? u should look into the parvalue in annual report and multiple with 30% and number of shares. For your information, digi par value only RM0.01 if I'm not mistaken. If it declare 30% dividend and you only holding 10lots, that means u will only get (RM0.01 X 0.3 X 1000) = RM 3.. see the difference?

I never try the rev tablet but my friend did. Her experience is also at the Chicago at one U. Her experience is more worst as she did not even touch the tablet and the staff told her don't use that and directly order with her...

However, if u have the holding power and wish to hold the stock in long term. Then u can go into it as the fundamental is strong :) Just don't play contra and margin. I believe that if u hold long term then it should not be trouble.

U can view my portfolio too as I put it in public under the Brent Soo portfolio which listed the stock I holding. So far 29.2% in 10 months dy :) u can also see the stocks I already dispose of. MAS is my biggest mistake by including in the portfolio previously but I already cut loss on it :)

Kenneth: not necessary. U can see many stocks did not increase in its share price after they announce their dividend.

It's actually reflecting whether the dividend is expecting from the shareholders or not based in the current price. It's same as the theory of market demand and supply.
If the announced dividend turn out to be higher than the expected dividend. The stock price may increase due to the market perception of the company business is doing well.

2.85 should be the reasonable price.

Is a good company but the profit seems to be getting lower and lower. The last eps actually raised by disposal of property and sbb activities

The idea of rev tablet is good especially for pizza hut which always not enough staff and bad service. Lol. But it does not using it.

My friend also went to the restaurant that using rev tablet by cuscapi. However, the staff actually did not know how to use it and most of the people there just ignoring the tablet and order the food in a traditional way. I did not know the current situation but hope that cuscapi really put some effort on it.

Kenneth: u will get the dividend when u buy before ex date and sell after ex date and before entitlement date.
However, u will only receive the dividend in your bank account on the payment date.

It's depend on situation. Not necessary that many people will buy on the last day. Foe your information, the dividend amount will directly deduct from the stock price on the ex date.
For example, the company announce RM0.02 dividend per share. The ex date is on May 1 and the closing price for the stock price on 30 April is RM 1.00. On the next day which is also May 1, the stock price will automatically open at 0.98 which already deduct the dividend payment

Kenneth89: look into ex-date. Just ignore the entitlement date. U will get the dividend as long as you are still holding the stock on the ex-date. U will not get the dividend if u sold your stock before th ex-date or buy after ex-date but before entitlement date.
