Outlook

To turn operations around, the group will embark on a corporate
restructuring plan. This includes: 1) Disposal of non-core assets; 2) Raising
funds and 3) Focusing on core. Its trusted ID business will be prioritised as
its core business, rendering all other non-core assets as up for sale. The
announced proposed 10% private placement exercise, is expected to raise
RM40.5mn in proceeds. This, we believe, will help reduce its net gearing
levels to 28.3% (from 48.8%). Conditional upon successful implementation,
we believe this will help unearth the value of its trusted ID business, which
remains sizeable and profitable.

However, we continue to project losses for FY18. We see hurdles within its
food and agro division. Relating to Rimbunan Kaseh projects, it has to
provide farm management services for five years. The cost of running a
farm is approximately RM3.0mn/year. However, productivity remains low,
as yields are insufficient to offset operating costs.
Valuation

We value IRIS at a TP of RM0.28/share based on SOP valuation. While
painful, we opine impairments made during the quarter were a necessary
step to take as the group begins FY18 on a clean slate. We remain positive
on its corporate restructuring plan, which we believe will unearth the value
of its trusted ID division and help narrow losses. BUY.
