Earlier comment is deleted. Puns, it seems, are misunderstood. Any way price has gone up.

Sorry I sounded that way, Dave. I withdraw my comment since I don't get paid for it. Cheers!

Good for you hw0706 and benson911. But any price lower than 1.45 will be a great bargain.

Looks like it. It may find some support at 1.07. Am not good at reading charts. Been losing money mostly on TA. Tomorrow I'll have to pick up this stock which I bought at 1.13. Am targeting 1.47 but don't really know How long it will take. Meanwhile, I expect Perisai to fall to as low as 1.02.

Anyone taking profit at 0.73?
2012-12-14 16:17 | Report Abuse
This may be the biggest joke of the century. Maybank Research says to take profit. Target at 0.54 and 0.70. How many bought way below these prices to be able to take profit?
Here's its advice: "The Trading Idea is a TAKE PROFIT call on MAS with downside target prices of MYR0.54 and MYR0.70."

Oh, the weather outside is frightful... Let it fall, let it fall, let it fall. Buy when price falls below 0.61.

South of the border, down Perisai's way. Ah, as always. Falling slowly but surely. Stop loss at 1.02.

There were about 800 lots ahead of me when I queued for 1.77. Needless to say I never got to buy at that price. No loss though as price is trending downwards and may fall to 1.72 or even lower. Best price to buy of course is any price below 1.45. In between there should be some buying interest to stop the price from falling too quickly.

Heavy gun fire has been reported south of the border of Perisai in the last few minutes. -- more to follow

Moving sideways. Taking a risk. Just bought some at 0.36 and picked up stock at 0.37.

It will depend on which five days' prices are averaged. And it could be higher or lower than 1.13. Price is now stuck here.

Not to mention that price is supported by very good volume.

I don't really know. First there's a big white candle above the 20SMA and 12 and 25 EMA. MACD converging on signal line. Histogram above slightly above nought. %k above 80. RSI touches 50.%R at -11.1
PS: never good at reading charts.

I'm taking a risk. Just bought at 1.13. Hope TA won't fail me this time. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Karin, not a big shot but a small fry.
2012-12-10 18:59 | Report Abuse
Karin, no, not at all. I will not fly with any Indonesian or Korean airline. My company has a policy that forbids us from flying with budget airlines for obvious corporate and tax reasons. I myself have flown with Air Asia twice, and once with Ryan Air at my own expense. And I was badly inconvenienced and disappointed on these occasions. My AirAsia flights were delayed and the one to Bangkok was subsequently cancelled after waiting for hours at the stuffy LCCT. I flew with Ryan from London to Vienna one winter. My return flight was cancelled because of heavy snow which covered Ryan's aircraft and runway. Ryan couldn't even tell me when I could fly home with them. Rather than being stranded in Vienna freezing from temperatures that went as low as -25C, I managed to buy a ticket on British Airways for £500 and got out of Vienna. BA could fly after defrosting its aircraft; and the runway was cleared of snow. I was among the few lucky ones who managed to get a seat on BA on that day.
Lessons learnt. I will never fly budget again. I've no reason to. I have never bought a single Air Asia share and never will. I'm here because I find the conversation here amusing.
Cheers!

Did you inadvertently leave out some bits of "cannibalisation" of aircraft parts?

Well, FAX was renamed AAX to fly international. Happily, I don't fly Air Asia.

Quite strong resistance from the bulls which are trumping the bears a little. But apparently the bears are keeping the bulls at bay at 1.09 and will not allow them to advance any further for now.

Chartwise, this stock is bullish. But I guess we'll never really know how it will turn out ultimately. Just keeping my fingers crossed. Now there are 1519 lots at 0.365 queuing to sell and 8036 lots queuing to sell at 0.37. 4351 lots queuing to buy at 0.36.

New Insight Sabah I read the Hong Leong report on the "put call" and I have posed these questions to Hong Leong:
Please explain what are the "political" and "execution risks", "growth is dependent on domestic conditions". You say you are "maintaining target price pending details of recent deals." Please say what aspects of the deal that will make you revise your target price upwards or downwards. Please tell us something that we don't already know.
You used words such as "believe" and "likely". Please say how confident are you that things won't go wrong from now until 2014. And can you say what are the things that can or can't go wrong with this deal?

I lost money on this stock last year. Had to cut my losses. I bought it back on 3 Sep at 0.535 and sold it on 9 Nov at a high of 0.72. I missed the boat when it closed at 0.72 on 7 Nov. I was thankful to be able to sell at that price two days later. The price has kept falling since then. I bought it back at 0.68 on 23 Nov. Now I'm waiting for another chance to take profit. Certainly I'm not expecting it to hit 1.26/1.29 as some analysts have forecast.
PS: Please read analysts' reports with extreme care. I learnt my lesson.

Rich, I'm in no position to advise anyone. I can only speak of my own experience and learn of others' here. I sold mine at 1.07 yesterday (with a lot of heartaches, of course). I do hope to buy it back when I think the price has fallen low enough for me. I have made some money on this stock before but I wouldn't hold it for long since it is in a very volatile industry. If you look at some of the recent history of such companies, you will know what I mean.

It's a tug-of-war between the bulls and the bears. So far the bears seem to have prevailed despite strong resistance from the bulls. This is likely to be a long-drawn-out and sluggish battle. Perhaps the small volume is a consolation. A downward breach of the 50-day SMA of 1.03 may see price fall towards the 200-day SMA of 0.93 unless there are some unexpected happy corporate development to reverse the trend.
There is a general ennui of current company development. Low PE, valuation and prospects of better earnings won't help to drive prices any higher for now. Note that the initial euphoria drove its price to this year's high of 1.17 on 21 Nov and no higher. It's highest close was 1.16 on that day only. Since then prices have been falling slowly but surely and steadily. Ah, I should have sold at 1.16 when I was tempted to do so. But then I, like many others, didn't have the benefit of hindsight.
PS: I'm learning. Never good at reading charts.
