Announcement out, EPF has been disposing MBSB shares. No wonder keep dropping.

By the way that this selling down looks, it is probably some margin call selling....as I have warned, no short term punting on this counter. Until the selling is done, the reverse will come back. To me, at 0.8 to 0.85 is a fair value to buy by its historical dividend of 5% yield. I do not understand why price doesn't matter if you are buying for dividends, of course it matters. If you buy at RM1, your yield is only 3.5% and you are risking if there is a huge fall in prices and you can't liquidates your money...

Whatever it is, MBSB has a poor management and branding problem

Why is MBSB not using it's strong reserves to prop up the share price? Has Kenanga always been a sour grape because they did not hold much or any shares of MBSB? If they can acquired a major share through marriage deal or discussion with EPF, they will surely boost MBSB price with their analysis once they have a stake in it....

Heavy selling for this whole week...hitting the ceiling in a bad way...

But not for short term play...

Due to ROE and COF this counter is lagging behind all the other major banks, the good thing about MBSB now is strong reserves, it will take a turning around of stronger earnings to go up. At the price now, it is a good time of entry because even if earnings are not up to expectation, there will still be dividend in 6mths time.

Now you will have to trade looking at the macro situation around the world and not just the individual stock fundamental. Middle East is on the blink of a full scale war with Israel, DJ, Nasdaq & S&P all long over due for a correction of at least 30%, oil price is behaving erractically and not a good sign, world is ditching USD by forming BRICS and the list go on....those holding on please do not ask people to buy just because you are holding....

When you think it is already low, it will go lower....cash is better then paper now...the only place is gold

The world is in a chaotic situation and some of it are relating to the middle east religious and racial issues, and Malaysia lately has many issues stirring up due to religious and racial issues too and this does not bodes well with investors, there is no advantage to invest in Malaysia since the economy is in a murky situation and Investors will stay away. Stay vigilant

Foreign investors continued to sell down Bursa Msia, fundamentally Bursa Msia should be able to absorb the current selling by some institutional buying, but if confident were shaken, retailers join in the movement, you could see FTSE Bursa correcting down to 1500 level. And like I say, others world major market is behaving very erratically, better watch on the side line, my humble advice.

Private entities should never be use as a subsidizing enterprise, the banks should work for investors and social subsidy should be the responsibilities of the gov. Gov intervention will leave a bad taste on the investors.

I am always consistent in criticizing MBSB management, I am always clear headed for my investments. If you are aware of the news lately, external market is turning cautious.

Yes, if you refer to the PB, it is under value by about 35%, but it is traded at this price because PE is poor for this counter compared to the other banks. MBSB in my opinion has the poorest management amount banks and it is the main reason why it is constantly under perform. If you have holding power, just hold for its dividend until the management can turn it around and expand their profits, but it usually disappoints.

US brewing for a crash down, trade with care. World market is behaving in a very abnormal way although Msia market is healthy but will still be affected if there is a shake up in the major world markets. If you have bought just hold on to it, up or down, do not chase it is my advise.

4sen is quite fair and doable I think. Since the ROE is so low for MBSB, the incapable management can decapitalized and return some money to their investors to raise their ROE, so a 10% return + dividends will be nice...haha

no need to daydream, MBSB has been paying dividends without fail in the last 8 years, so it is fair to expect dividends to be paid this year, you can find the info herein this website, however having said that, I have never suggested that dividends will be more or same as last year 8.5sen hor.

Last 3Q until Sept 23 had been profitable abet lesser then the last few years before, so there's a likelyhood that dividend will be announced either this quarter or the next quarter. If 4th Q result good will be a bonus....still price under book value but unlikely to advance too much unless 4Q is good. Bare in mind, MIDF numbers might be added to MBSB for the 4th Q...this might boost the earnings.

Why I say the management is lousy, go look through MBSB historical price data, since April 2016 till now, highest is RM1.55 and lowest is RM0.46, average is RM0.849, so.....the guru please tell us, why is the management to be praised if you have invested this company for 8 years but now has still not even reach the average price of RM0.849 when the other banks are already at their high after covid? The management ought to be sacked

Kenanga latest article on MBSB cannot even get its target price consistently right, and call themselves analyst.... everyone know their analysis is not credible.

Kenanga has zero credibility in MBSB, on one hand they are pushing out and is selling call warrant at 88sen and on the other hand valuating MBSB at 63sen, contradicting themselves...those listening to K really has got to get their head checked.

MBSB did not break and governing regulation of Bursa, so there nothing that the regulators can do to it's trading share price, but however the management is the one that can do something like giving some positive announcement or news to maintain or prop up the share price, but unfortunately after drawing big salary, no one care to do any investors relation business...sorry to say it but as I maintain, this is a useless management that does nothing for their investors.

MBSB has mislead some investors saying that after finalizing MIDF acquisition will declare a final dividend but did not fulfill its promises....this type of management can trust?

The selling at the tail end of today's trading is insane, MBSB has been sold down on a up market week.... obliviously some big investors are saying enough is enough....not waiting anymore for miracles...tio boh?

The selling pattern everyday is exactly the same.

Fundamentally the bank is fine, enter when the market is down is still ok I think, but it will always maintain underperform and can hardly go up unless the management overhaul itself. When market rise, it will raise with the tide but always behind the main movers. Not for speculator, weak holders and those trying to time the market cannot win on this counter.

Operating expenses is 170.6 million and impairment allowance of 85.1 million drag down the profit...this is what I have been saying all along that the management is lousy, fattening themselves at lighting speed and working at snail pace.

After NOSH adjustment, earnings reduce from 0.46 to 0.4...so indeed the earnings has drop like 70%, that would basically meant cost went up? Where the money goes? Although it is still profitable, which is good news when it didn't fall into negative territory but still the question remain as why cost is so high?

Revenue continue to go up but earning come down drastically, where did the money go? Due to new issue shares? How about MIDF revenue and earnings? Something is not right here.

Some big gun has been unloading millions of shares since 0.74sen, and have not seen any declaration from institutional share holders of this unloading exercise....when is it stopping? Better don't touch this at this moment of volatility

I have no doubt some one in MBSB read this forum...so be vocal when you are not happy on their performance....take them to task

That is what a lot of people holding now hope to believe, but I don't, I believe investors should pressured MBSB management to act for better performance, believing they will do their job while they're not is not working for investors...except for alen....this management is really trash.

You are missing the whole point, is not the price I am complaining, at this price is a steal...the problem is will it grow? Buying purely for its cheapness is pointless, management must grow its value. Look at some of the investors here holding it for years, what do they get besides some dividends? Devaluation of share price...

This is my last as I am out of this counter, will never come back and wait eternity for it to breach the RM1 mark...I better go for Singapore banks, better return and stable

This is a bank shares, not ah long company, the management must understand the importance of maintaining stability on their share price and knowing how to act defensively when encountering a sell down for such a prolong period....why support and throw good money to this kind of management and support them?

Excellent management, telling investors that final dividend will be declared after MIDF acquisition and then after qtr results telling investors that interim already paid 8.5sen and therefore no dividend this time. This is the type of management Alan here promote....go google and understand how management affect share price lah, if trading at 50% discount wasn't attributes to management, what is?....goons.

At 72.5sen I think it is still worth while to hold, ask super long term holder like Alan and he will happily tell you that he hold for years, lost money when the counter is selling at 0.5 PB and still think the management is super good when is just mediocre. He ought to get his head check..

When new shares were listed so the revenue, cash and profit of MIDF will also be included in MBSB financials, don't think of new shares diluting the profits, might increase the profits and even lead to higher dividends. Wait for the next qtr report....

14 million shares traded but still traded down while other banks are mostly on big bull run the last 1 week.

Expect the acquisition of MIDF to be completed by 1st July and announcement of post merger dividend, I am really keen to see how market is going to drive the price of MBSB and what is the co-relations of the new issue price of 96sen, something interesting could be developing there.

Even incompetent brunch will have its day, the market has spoken, and from 5 -6 years ago till now, look at what the price of MBSB then and now, what value except disappointment have MBSB bring for their loyal supporters?
