Why dont they just use the IPO funds to incease productivity through re-planting and keep the cash for opportunistic aquisitions. With so much $$$ time is on their side.

The EPF is not agreeable with the purchase of Eagle High - radio news this morning. that is 5% against already. another 45% and we stop the deal. On the flip side, land for planting is scarce and expensive in M'sia due to forestry laws and labour is cheap in Indonesia. But, yes most of all I dont agree with the price...

The big question now is, what was the cost of construction of these power plants in India inclusive of delays, financing/interest cost, cost overruns etc, and how much can it sell/recover? The indian power plants were supposed to generate RM80 million per annum when fully operational but it isnt operational and if forced to sell by the financing banks....looks like on the losing end.Even though I left, I lost 100K and am still interested in Mudajaya's fate! Hope I get over it.

How can you go wrong when you buy at 1.70 i.e.62% of IPO price??? Unless palm oil is in crisis like crude oil (vs Shale) is. It is the pension funds and Felda inflicting pain and investors should take advantage of this!!! My 5cts worth...haha!

Anyone asked at the AGM why LLA payments to FELDA (GOVT) so large and wildly fluctuating?
Now I know after analysing the financials...is that LLA payments is the main cause for the recent loss. Even after taking floods into consideration the comapny was still profitable untill the LLA deduction! Someone already mentioned something like this earlier and I checked the financials and found it true.

Mudajaya to sell its India Power Plants - Star paper today. 100K already lost in this company...lucky I am out! If not more losses! Looks like banks forcing it to sell due to delays in repayment schedule. Maybe FF will buy over the assets. Mudajaya says to concentrate on construction and development. India and china is a deathbed for many M'sian companies...all the shit red tape and delays and you know what is needed to get things moving.

Mudajaya Group may fall further after closing below the MYR1.35 level to extend its multi-year low. Traders may expect further weakness if the stock stays below this level in the immediate term, with the next support level anticipated at MYR1.10. Meanwhile, the stock may trend sideways if it returns above the MYR1.35 level, while the bearish bias may be eliminated if it recovers above the MYR1.45 level.

Are you sure the low yield was only in the last quarter. What about previous profitable years? e.g. 2014?
2015-06-16 14:24 | Report Abuse
Average overall volume for FGV last 4 weeks was 3million. KWAP and other govt funds selling and not many investors buying due to the poor results after the floods are the main reson for the plunging FGV price. The low volume of average 3 million per day compared to about 3.something billion issued shares is not much. I still feel that the next quarters will return to large profits (minus the floods). Overseas investors are cheesed off with the EPF KWAP etc causing such unexpected fluctuations in the local markets when they need funds to pay dividends or purchase land like why I think KWAP is selling everday. Please correct me if I am wrong. Just my 5cts worth guess!

Can someone explain to me why (apart from yesterday's selloff) why is everone saying that FGV shares are being sold off resulting in a drastic fall by 60 odd %. If you look at the statistics, the average daily volume is only about 2 million shares compared to the issued shares of the company (about 3.somethin billion?). The main reason is that govt pension funds etc e.g. KWAP,EPF amanah and the like are always against the market trends and sell when they need funds to pay dividends or purchase certain assets like land (KWAP). The low volume of shares traded show that most of FGV's shareholders are keeping their shares and at this juncture (due to the recent floods) not many are buying. In short, KWAP, EPF and the like are causing havoc in our local market and that's why foreign funds don't like to invest here. Too much government involvment causing uncertainties. Just my 5cts worth! Please correct me if I am wrong!!! I am still learning.

I think FGV is buying about 30%...so they will not "manage" the company..just board representaion. The company they are buying into made sharp gains in revenue and profits in 2014. Just hope the purchase price is acceptable to analyst and shareholders.

KWAP selling almost everyday!!! Thats the reason price is falling/stagnant. Have they invested in .....by purchasing some assets and have to pay soon????
2015-06-05 11:26 | Report Abuse
Should be selling to pay dividends to their fund holders as they have to declare dividends on a yearly basis just like KWSP, I guess. When dividends are to be paid by FGV ex dividend 26th June...at 0.04cts per share...it should rise before that date...I believe so.Just my 5cts worth. Haha
2015-06-05 09:33 | Report Abuse
The replacement is purely technical due to FGV's fall in market capitalisation...no big issue but why is KWAP selling almost everyday should be the question :- Purchase of 500,000 share in open market by KWAP's Fund Manager on 28 May 2015 2) Disposal of 1,500,000 shares in open market on 27 May 2015 3) Disposal of 350,000 shares in open market on 28 May 2015. They are almost the sole sellers on some days in the month of May'15.
2015-06-05 09:27 | Report Abuse
The replacement is purely technical as it is based purely on market capitalisation (MC). As FGV share price has fallen, so has its MC. So what is the big deal?

I am out of here. Another 12K loss. Bought in again at 1.46 average and sold at 1.38 when 1Q out. Might come back when sure of plants firing (especially the 3rd and largest plant). Funds not earning any $$ and I can't wait like Fairfax as they invest for long term. Opportunity cost is high for me.

If you buy big number of shares today at say 1.95..say 90K shares. On the 26th of June. you will get RM3,600 for a period of 23 days. That works out to a whopping profit on a per annum basis!!! So why not buy now? Hari Raya coming too!

0.04 sen dividend ex date 26th June'15. Share price sure to rise sharply before that date and maybe drop after if palm oil price don't sustain at 2,300. You just have to hold for 23 days? Am I right guys? Analysts say further downside unlikely.

My concern is that if you click on disclosures above in this site...and choose change in shareholders. You will find that Kumpulan Wang Pesaraan and EPF have been selling for the whole month of May and 1st June. Although the volume of sales is low compared to their shareholding, it account for much of the daily average volume of RM2million.So in the near term this is impacting on the share price.

To have an opportunity to buy the largest Palm Oil Company in the world at around 40% of it's IPO price.... due mainly to floods is a big opportunity in my view!!! Even though I can't really understand how the LLA works! I think the world population is increasing and commodities prices will go on rising.

Correction! For power plants performance must look at profit/loss of associated companies as rkm is an associate.not a subsidiary. It think mudajaya's share of losses of associate companies is not alarming but it also shows that power plants still not firing.

I was in long ago before the rights issue, came out and went in again much later at 2.40. so I lost a personal fortune by now. All eggs in only 1 or 2 baskets. Learnt 1 thing though, if you invested heavily in a company....you have to monitor all large investments they make and its progress especially when they invest in China or India. So many things can go wrong...politcics..protests and crazy corrupted local authorities. When the plants were delayed I should have seen the red light sign and monitored its progress. Now on hindsight...this is where I went wrong. Now its crazy to pull out especially when the plants are already completed. I give another year I think I can get back my hard earned $$$. No I am not a good investor!!!
