this was a slumbering GST counter at 47sen when IFCA in the 20s made its eye-catching ascent. only much later did CENSOF move, through the impetus of a 1:4 free warrant offer. I exited at 64.5 before the EXdate. After EX, it went only as low as 56 I believe. It re-lifted past 60 a day before Budget 2015, perhaps with a little help from the timing of the Asian Business Solns JV. Both the warrant and JV were "managed" events in my personal opinion.

A rare day of activity today for Lioncor. 689,800 vol traded vs 4-wk avg 109,088.

The way it was moving between prices very quickly looks like tell-tale signs of EPF at work. The movers were in the mood to unload that's for sure. I picked up some at 4.10 and more at 4.05 to maintain my average cost.

Gap yday was 10sen. Either WB holding steadier, or more likely, mother is pressed down.

Roadblocks set up at around 10am at 4.25 below (avg 95 lots/bid) and 4.30-4.33 above (avg40+ lots/bid).

Alpha Trader is right. There is dumping observed. And the Sell Q lot per bid is minimum 100 from .670 upto .690, except for .685 the avg is 63 lots per bid. Maybe something unfavourable in Budget 2015?

Probably a VIP customer of TNB, this LionCor, LionInd & LionDiv, esp their respective steel divisions. The group should collectively be able to nego a vlow tariff. Take a leaf out of PMetal's world-low preferential tariff from Sarawak's huge HEP grid for their Mukah and Bintulu plants.

A counterview to conversion?

Between now and until the RI gets confirmed by Bursa, there is a case for warrantholders to not convert. The current gap to mother is 10-10.5 sen, narrowing from an even wider 13sen for extended periods recently. Prior to the counter's plunge, it was only 6sen. So, the run-up to the RI has inflicted a 4-7sen "penalty" on the warrant price.

Now if the RI eventually materialises, then there is a good case for conversion, albeit not in all cases because it does depend on the holder's average cost per warrant, the exit TP and WC price.

However, if the RI fails to go through, and one had converted prematurely, the "penalty" is realised. It would have been better to just hold the warrant to not sacrifice the recent extra gap/differential.

One contrarian's opinion only. Have a nice long weekend.

very thin volume this morning for both mother and son. some indecision bcos sitting at technical borderline (78.6% fibo). steady and go north or head further south to fully retrace. so, a bit of caution is wise. personal view only.

yes. WA queue volumes were a few multiples higher at opening vs mother.
8.5 sen is 78.6% fibo retracement level for WA. Mother would have been at 17sen for 78.6% but did not get a chance to drop the extra 1.5sen bcos gorengers seems to be also looking at charts...my conspiracy theory :)
