B2. COMPARISON WITH PRECEDING QUARTER’S RESULTS

The Group recorded revenue of RM41.03 million in the current quarter (“Q1 2016”) as
compared to RM53.75 million in the previous quarter (“Q4 2015”), a decrease of RM12.72
million or 23.66%. The Group recorded a profit before taxation (“PBT”) of RM5.33 million
for the quarter under review, as compared to previous quarter PBT of RM6.65 million.
The reasons contributing to the decrease in the result are as follow:
1. Decrease in sales to existing customers.
2. Appreciation of Ringgit Malaysia against USD.
Nevertheless, the impact has been cushioned by the one off income from the full recovery of
USD0.66 million during the quarter under review as per announcement dated 3 February
2016.

B3. COMMENTARY ON PROSPECTS
In general, the global HDD industry is expected to contract in the coming quarters due to the
weak global economy. However, our new product mix development with the HDD customers
is expected to continue sustain our HDD businesses which will to a certain extent mitigate the
expected contraction.

Current year’s prospects
For the last couple of months, in general, prices of all commodities have recovered from their
low which includes aluminium. Concerns of US hiking interest rate aggressively and the
contraction in China economy have abated and as such the market has responded quite
positively.
As for aluminium, due to the curtailments in year 2015, the supply and demand are now more
in equilibrium and is being reflected in the current price level.
This price recovery will work out well for Press Metal as we will complete our third smelter
production ramp up by the end of May. By then we will have a total smelting capacity of
760,000 mt and the largest in South East Asia.
So, barring unforeseen circumstances, the Board expects to achieve better result for this
financial year

Assuming every quarter eps of 8 cents, annual eps will be 32 cents, RM4.50 is achievable by taking pe ratio of 14.

Hello guys, I'm back to Pmetal at RM3.13 today.
Not too late to collect the dividend ya.
Pmetal is not only affected by aluminium prices lah, if so please buy commodities future better.
There are still many other factors that attribute to Pmetal growth like new plant, aluminium demand, cost management, quality control & etc.
