Haha.. SHQuah... I didn't follow the trend.. I'm old and slow... But i prefer that way...
In fact, I told Neohts about LTAT and OCK... That time OCK only around 80sen..
Did I regret?
Nah.. OCK didn't give me the confident to hold on if the market shut down for 10 years.
By the way, I'm only 30.

SHQuah, I beg to differ.
Will u sell your company if u know it is making money, and will be making more money in future?
Unless u have no confident in the management, or the prospects of the company, then u should leave as soon as u find out this company is not what u look for.
Just my 1 sen.

Dear sifu, what will be the best price to re-enter DKSH ?
2014-04-01 10:30 | Report Abuse
Any chance of it being price at PE 10 at RM0.744?

If sell under private placement, most of the time only cronies benefit. I strongly disagree with this type of untransparent act which is against corporate governance..

Split share don't bring any benefit or value to us.
I would prefer DKSH to carry out share buyback with its cash pile and cancel off the treasury shares to lift the EPS. What say u?

tjhldg, don't need to be sad. U had already realized your paper gains.
While I plan to hold on to paper gains for a little longer..

Asking Price and Bidding Price is a big gap.
Buyers are willing to buy at 8.30 but Sellers are willing to sell at 8.70.
So, it all depends who can wait.
If u have no holding power, u will have to settle for a lower selling price. (",)
Fundamental is in tact, no reason to sell now.
Giving u guys an example.
I previously hold Public Bank, entry price around RM7, and it increase to RM11-12, I sold it to lock in gains. But I regret it now, as the fundamental is still great, but I cannot get it back at RM11 anymore.

DKSH is almost like a monopoly in its industry. I didn't see any reason to sell. (",)

Hooi, I agree with u. But, Icap share price is no where near RM3.
Unless Icap plans to do share buyback or liquidate the fund and refunds to u, the NAV have no meaning to minority shareholders.

Dear all, the EPS of RM1.1049 is including one time exceptional gain from disposal of land. The actual normal EPS is only RM0.50.
If u calculate PE based on RM1.1049, u might feel DKSH is damn cheap now.
My fear is ppl will buy based on this misleading info and dump it when they see that the EPS FY2014 is not as high.

I look at 5 years EPS and the future prospects of the company.
I don't really bother daily fluctuations unless I want to add or sell.
2014-03-25 10:23 | Report Abuse
EPS FY2013 before share split is RM0.186
EPS after share split is RM0.0744.
RM0.627 of NTA is cash in company.
The company is debt free.
At PE 20, this share should worth RM1.488.
For a well managed Cashflow company like Wellcall, I'll give PE 25 by loking at its prospect.
New factory is on the way, demand is consistent.
2014-03-21 12:08 | Report Abuse
SHQuah, u are right.
u may deduct RM2.85 from the share price, then only calculate the PE ratio.. (",)
2014-03-21 10:37 | Report Abuse
REMEMBER, the EPS is still RM0.50 (excluding exceptional one time gains)...
As long as PE around 25, can still keep it..
2014-03-21 10:04 | Report Abuse
It will only update after 25th March, as that's the entitlement date.

Split is effective today.. Noob, I love Wellcall for the same reason..
Wellcall is split at RM3.70 range, and should be around RM1.50... But it is climbing higher now..

EPS is RM0.50, excluding exceptional one time gains. This company is well manage and market leader. Give it PE 20 also not expensive.
But OCK is expensive to me. (",) Maybe I haven't see its value.
2014-03-18 09:34 | Report Abuse
EPS is low, PR is over 20, I won't buy in OCK just yet based on "speculated future developments"...

DKSH CEO Joerg Wolle remarked, "We have a lot of negotiating power with the big retailers because we bundle the products. The big retailers ask for listing fees if you want to position your brand well. Since we might have 50% of the products that a retailer is selling, we have much greater negotiating power than each of the brands by themselves. We often get better trade terms than Nestle or Unilever even though they are giants."
This is the competitive advantage that Harrisons cannot compete.
I'm LONG on DKSH.

LTAT is a better fund managers compare to KWSP.
I have seen other companies held by LTAT, need to recall back.
Anyway, having said that, I don't really fancy listed entities which is heavily held and manipulated by institutions, because being minority shareholders, we are always at the losing ends.
That's the reason why I shy away from Berjaya groups, Genting, Maxis, etc..
