• Joint-Venture Agreement with KUB Malaysia Berhad
The Group remains positive of realizing the proposed Iskandar Malaysia Commuter rail project via its joint-venture company Metropolitan Commuter Network Sdn Bhd.
In January 2015, Masteel had submitted an updated project proposal to the Ministry of Transport for its review. The Ministry of Transport had further confirmed that the proposed project will complement the numerous rail projects in Johor such as the ongoing Gemas-Johor Baru double tracking project, the KL-Singapore High Speed Rail, Johor-Woodlands, Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) and the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and complies to the Iskandar region transport master plan. The Group is expected to retable its proposal to the Economic Council (EC) in 2015. We have regularly held productive discussions on the Iskandar MRT Project with various key stakeholders, and are heartened that all parties are committed towards its eventual success. Further updates on the project’s progress will be made via announcements to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

It's true that, evergreen and hevea ad fly high and left this mieco behind. Better catch up :)

The chart shows good signs. No sign of retreat or pull back. In fact 77 cents resistance broken. The momentum jz started only as I see it. I'm not good in TA though.

Why nobody feeling excited? Lol

They cant control the steel price, low steel price did hurt their margin. But government jz started the import duty from last month, June. My personal thought, 10 millions is not much for Masteel. Though current results is always important, but share price also takes in and reacts to prospects and future.

Anyway I believe when it going to re-trade, think it's kinda obvious that it will surge, regardless of the quarter results. Afterwards have to depend to the steel price and the catalysts. I not worry because I bought cheap, to punt for the catalysts when I heard the share price was hammered on purpose for Mr Liow and the friends.

Sg-KL high speed railway tender starts in early of 2016, to be completed by 2020. Iskandar-Sg railway project announcement by this year.

Bcoz the steel price likely bottom out d... esp with the recently imposed import duty for china steel... stocking up steel at low price with borrowing is normal deed. I not worry with the 42 yrs old steel master action. The management are lead by solid ppl for 42 years. They know what they are doing far better than anyone in Msia steel industry and definitely better than anyone here.

Prospects and catalyst wise:
Sg-KL high speed railway is waiting it, obviously Masteel gona get it.
And it's JV with KUB for the Iskandar-Sg project also likely to success.

Steel price bottom out. Halt trading issue will be dismissed, share price bottom out. I believe worse is over. The price is at the bottom. Make ur good guess when and how it can cheaper than now?

if it's true of what u said, if it's taken over by right ppl, mid and long term prospect is very good for mieco. i believe earning will be much better, if managed by ppl who really have the capability, instead of managed by any anonymous CEO or MD hired whom treat it as a job and only generate mediocre perfomance as per now. Though the prospects is still good, but really can be a lot better. Come on, pick up like Evergreen.

talk3 talk4, ppl wont easily get affected la... even yes, only small and blind fish, which no significant effect; big fish wont listen to u. why so naive... go discover and collect other stocks rather than thinking u can pull back stock's price by talking rubbish.

i will keep some and wont sell all after the rebound when it re-trade, jz in case it's true.. dont find to blame me if its not. go find out urself.

i think more than 0.80 if the rumor i heard is true.. that this price dip was done on purpose. for mr liow and the kawan-kawan to collect before the good news..

how can it be distribution dear... buy rate is high on these few days. why buy rate high? and the transaction pattern is so obvious... it's collection... few times queue-to-buy is as huge as 40k lots, then suddenly these large queue-to-buy disappeared and at the same time there are selling down about 4k lots and with that minimum selling lots it push the price 1 step down, then they put some volume to sell there, then after there are panic seller queue to sell, they keep buying. rounds and rounds..

but i wan to point out... that if u follow the queue and transactions... u dont feel weird when there are bids-to-buy are cancelled at the same time when somebody throw out to sell it down. it happened many many rounds... the queue and volume to buy jz disappeared at the same time as it is selling down. check it out...

anyway bout this kind of ACE counter, if u like surprises, u can hold for few quarters. nothing is certain, but if it manage to make it through better than now, reward is exceptional good. can simpan sikit, no harm.. especially with current weird transaction pattern... judge by urself and calculate ur own risk..

the company can survive for now with turned black results and with the preceding from the new director. no issue with debt..

why disappointed? lol

my interpretation: it's a good results.

1) look back its Q1 results in previous years from 2013, then u will realize Q1 is their historical worse Q every year compare to Q2-Q4.

2) as a matter of fact, it got the best Q1 results this time ended in FY15. EPS 24.49 give it a PE11.3 with 2.9% D/Y at the price of 2.76. versus globetronics PE 24.4, D/Y 1.54 at current price.... i think its quite obvious which is undervalued.... and not to mention it's a growing company with more room to grow...

3) cash flow is very good, generating 22 millions for this Q1, compare to Q1 of previous year only generated 9.8 millions.

4) it's new LED, Lumiqs is penetrating more markets.

and there are many details in the financial reports which show it's fundamental is growing well... so i'm stunned.
