nckcm I didnt disagreee with HDD . I know mass storage need a lot more HDD than SSD in cost wise. Especially in developing country. SSD is still expensive to make due to the process of manufacturing. I did my home work more than you. Even if SSD become cheap that time, Dufu will be capable in doing so as well.

Btw the point of I did that stupid calculation is just to show those shouting WD and Seagate in this thread. When show correlation say don't compare, but when own shouting sky is falling say all related. Aiyooooo

Sorry for the long post and I need to clarify that I am currently holding DUFU stock yea. I believe for everyone to grow and becoming a successful retail investor, we need more productive argument and discussion than shouting the sky is falling every where, or shouting limit up every where

Let's find out when the results are out

Now let us move on to calculation since everyone is selling negative sentiment on WD and Seagate case study (PURE STOCK PRICE CALCULATION ONLY)

If we were to use WD and Seagate example
WD results release 29th Apr (close $50.47) vs BEFORE QR (26th Apr $50.92) vs AFTER QR (30th Apr $51.12)
Seagate result release 30th March (close $48.32) vs BEFORE QR (29th Apr $44.94) vs AFTER QR (30th Apr $48.31)

What does it prove? Even with such BAD and DISAPPOINTING results this quarter, the stock price actually corrected itself for the past year, which already factored in considering YoY result from WD Peak @ $87.87 and Seagate Peak @ $59.02

WD Peak vs To-Date = 51.12/87.87 = 42% decrease
Seagate Peak vs To-Date= 48.31/59.02 = 18% decrease

Now look to Dufu Peak = 2.63, Current = 1.88
Dufu Peak vs To-Date = 1.88/2.63=30% decrease

If you can correlate, even if Dufu release such disappointing result as everyone is saying from WD and Seagate and we normalize it, it reaches 30% decrease too [(42%+18%)/2] it actually already retrace to the fair value.

And moving forward, why even WD and Seagate release such bad results, their share price didn't gap down?
Maybe because other investors look at the possible (do note I use the word possible) that the HDD industry has potential in the year 2019 or maybe even 2020??


I don't mind when you saying the stock price going to drop, but at least have some decency and provide us with more info other that "omg this other stock drop, this must drop", "this show bad result, so other must show gap down".

Just note that market is very sensitive and it definitely will correct itself over time. of course unless special case i.e. political, natural disaster etc.

No need to worry if bought in good fundamental stock! Incoming 1:20 Bonus issue, ex-date 29th May and if coupled with a normal quarter result, (much better if good results!), can expect another round!!

I can't understand Kelvin's logic, gtronic announce their past result (March 19) bad result, and frontkn announce their March 19 result even earlier and quite good, already very clearly proven frontkn not affected up till March already. How the heck gtronic result gonna affects frontkn? Both release the same past quarter ma.
