BCorp has announced its 2021-2024 strategic plan. Divestment. Debt reduction. Dividend policy for operating companies. Transformation into high-performing consumer group with five core businesses under the retail, food and beverage, property, hospitality and services segments https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/berjaya-corp-plans-delist-berjaya-land-sell-berjaya-sports-toto

Jalil was the CEO of PNB, the largest fund management company in Malaysia. Before that he was the CEO of Aberdeen Standard Investments. He has investment management experience in London and Singapore starting from 20 years ago. He must know something about transforming companies into investment grade stocks https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/exaberdeen-malaysia-chief-jalil-rasheed-helm-pnb

Vijay was the Director of group communications in PROTON. Brand transformation. Changing external perceptions. Internal communications. Government relations. International cultural calisthenics. Before that he was head of corporate affairs of BMW Group Malaysia.

BCorp at its best is only a trading stock, will never qualify for long term investment grade until it pays dividends, shows sustained & convincing profits.

Not at all a comment on her personality. The countries she has invested in can use her brand of vocal activism. Puts her money where her mouth is. In another example of her outspoken nature, she has called on fellow-investors to cut down on use of plastic on 4 October 2021. A persistent mess that afflicts the countries she has invested in. Not surprising given her zeal for diving and maritime archaeology https://www.apolloinvestment.com/cbarnes.htm

Welcome to i3 @BeatySwalls.
I don’t know anything about the Apollo’s Claire Barnes beyond her blog so will refrain from making comment on her personality.

My oh my, observatory. Apollo's articles https://www.apolloinvestment.com/whatsnew.htm were superb. chuckles. A first reading a raging diatribe by an activist investor who knows her stuff. (Pirates of the Dai-bo-chi?? lol)

iknownuts twas refreshing reading the suaveness of Datuk David Goh https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/david-vs-goliath-ccb-privatisation-stalemate

Swooning at the smoothness. "I don’t want to portray myself as a kingmaker or anything" "I am not here to make enemies, and I am not here to scuttle somebody’s deal" "If you offer me a good price, I will sell it to you" "But even if you don’t, that’s fine with me too" "We are all businessmen who look at the bottom line, not to make foes"

An exciting contrast, Crazy Rich Asian-esque businessman meets Angry Rich Brit's nasty condemnations. Most thrilling both are old time Asian specialists. One chose the path of Asian humility and diplomacy. The other, the path of raging activism in developing EMs. Both must have amazing NAV to show.

Jalil, Vijay are high fliers. Empires have financial strength, ties with other empires, financiers, local and foreign. If Jalil can put to use the empire's resources and ties, a new dawn arises.

Breakout?? Robust demand is confirmed. Simple business with F&B and PPE exposure. I'm expecting continued growth without end in sight. Capacity expansion should add more fuel to earnings growth. Anything not to like? Up Up and Away!!!

Plastics & Packaging - Taking An Expansive View

We also maintain our OP call on SCGM (TP: RM3.13) for (i) its capacity expansion plans, and (ii) the robust demand for its F&B packaging and PPE products.

We think these players will continue to experience robust demand for their products and their continuous expansion of product range should continue fuelling future earnings growth.

BP Plastics, Thong Guan Industries and SLP Resources, should see a boost in local sales following the easing lockdowns.

Plastics & Packaging - Taking An Expansive View

We think these players will continue to experience robust demand for their products and their continuous expansion of product range should continue fuelling future earnings growth. TGUAN (Maintain OP; TP: RM3.70) for its long-term growth plans, especially that of its premium-stretch films.
