If really price fly up in this ongoing trend, then I still suggest WC. First, if trend confirm, why not buy the one that gives u the most return? I believe many people here earned 50%-100% in WC last few days, can WE, WD achieve that? No. Second, given current trend, just freshly rebounded from low, usually may rally like 1-3 weeks which are one, two weeks before the expiration of WC, so why noy get WC in that case? Buying WE and WD are for people who wanna hold longer, but it seems dumb to buy that cos I know people here all have no intention to hold it long. Anytime correction happen from peak, then ur warrant fall hugely again.

Basically for construction company like WCT, they do need strong cash flow to ensure all project on hand can be going on without cash flow problem, especially they hold quite some projects on hand and perhaps few more possible one. In that case they might do private placement, etc to get more cash on hand like how MRCB did. In the way definitely WCT will try to make sure the warrant holder will exercise their paper so they can gain from the selling of share. The issued size is around 157 million, if 50% of them exercise, they can get around RM 121 million, if 70% then RM 170 million. So it shows how importance for them to attract the holder to exercise their warrant. So how to make them to exercise? Simple, make the mother share price go up!

value_invest, you are definitely wrong to calculate in that way, you apply exactly from what you learn from book, reality doesn't work in that way. How many warrant you can see which is traded with no premium or negative premium, out of the money? Due to time value of money, at most cases it will be traded at premium. Or you think so good ah? total cost including the paper can be less than the current market price? like that no need trade warrant alrdy, I exercise all my warrants and buy at lower total cost then directly earn money by selling in the market.

I listened to a story from an experience trade in Bursa. He said after all the things done to push down the price and collected at cheap price. The sharks will then start testing the market and push the price slightly up around 2-6% to test the market whether the selling has gone, this could be tried twice to ensure. Upon confirmation then they will push the price obviously and attract the people come back to the counter. Especially for WCT condition together with its warrant expire in March, similar case could happen.

When one research house indicates a buy it may be because its on his favour, but when most of the research house upgraded the TP and recommended a BUY, it simply means short-mid term the counter will do perform very well as it caught a lot attention and the support from various banks. It may still fall if the market sentiment is weak just like the last few days but eventually will still go up to the north when sentiment turns good.
