Ayoyo, just by looking at the trading volume on 3rd & 4th Nov., you can tell that many retailers bought & sold on these dates. Unfortunately, many are still stuck with the shares after suspension especially those I named in my posting above

If you analyse the counter just prior to suspension, the volume on 3rd & 4th Nov was huge i.e. 293m & 197m respectively.

Some of those who bought on 3rd Nov might have sold on 4th Nov to take profit but many others have not and their shares are due for force selling T+4 today (9th Nov). But brokers could not sell due to suspension so it will be sold on Wednesday (11th Nov).

Those who bought on 4th Nov are due for force selling on Wednesday (11th Nov)..

Thus, there will be a combination of force selling for trading done on 3rd & 4th Nov. due on Wednesday. How many shares? Nobody knows but it is HUGE.

Yes, some of them will pickup the shares, but not many have the fund to do it.

Now you can try to imagine what will happen on Wednesday

I did not say the sharea are sampah. In fact, I said long term it is a good investment provided oil price recovers. But I questioned the company's management intention to suspend the counter for 3 days causing problems/potential losses to the traders/shareholders due to force selling and margin calls

Have you guys questioned why the company requested the counter to be suspended for 3 trading days before making announcement only today which is the 3rd trading day, causing many traders/contra players to pickup the shares and became forced investors? Those who could not pick up will face short selling and potential losses on Wednesday.

After the price plunged due to force selling , margin calls will drive the price even lower,

Most companies only suspend for announcement for 1 day only.

You should bash the company for this irresponsible action instead of ridiculing others who try to educate the general public from making bad investment decision

Recent US job data showed US economy is strong which will prompt Fed to hike interest rate in Dec. causing dollar index to be bullish and put pressure on oil price. Major oil companies already started downsizing. Do you think a new upstream oil company can survive? Do you think HEH will sell their biz 100% if it is lucrative? The Australian is not stupid.

Newbies, take precaution. Those who bought earlier are desperate to sell on Wednesday. You need to hear both sides of the coin instead of "Dont worry be happy" comments only from these people else you'll get badly burned.

The aquisition might benefit Hibiscus in the long term, but in the short term the share will be under pressure from margin calls/force selling after suspended for 3 ttading days

Habiscus business model was based on higher oil price a few years ago. Now at USD40+ per barrel, it is not profitable even if they strike oil as many shale oil rigs in the US have also closed down...
