Let's assume hypothetically that the index is at 17970 at maturity which would mean that you incur zero loss/profit. But going by your assumption you would only be getting back 0.371, a loss of 47 percent. Do you think that's equitable. You can't have the issue price in RM and the settlement price reflected in HKD. Otherwise all holders of HSI put or call would be losing big time.

Sharonsee, it state that the FX rate component is only taken into consideration if the indexes is denominated in a foreign currency and not RM. Very simple, I buy HSI call or put in RM and sell it also in RM. Why should the settlement then be in HKD?

Shawnie, I got the figures from malaysiastock.biz web-site and can't ascertain if the number of shares include the conversion. You've got a point that one can't assign a similar PER but as mentioned it's based on assumptions.

Wen, the present PER is 25.52 based on the net profit of the trailing 12 months which implied an EPS of 3.82 cents. Let's assume that the 4th quarter (ending Jan 2016) earnings is flat at 1.58 cents. That would give you a full year EPS of 4.72 cents and using Top Glove PER of 24 times as a benchmark, Comfort should be at 1.13 or higher if there's an improvement in their 4th quarter earnings over the 3rd quarter. A word of caution though, those are assumptions. Trade at your own risk.

Their 3rd quarter ends in October so the report should be sometime in early December. There was an increase of more than 20% in net profit in the 2nd quarter. Bear in mind that the USD exchange rate was around the 3.6 level then. It averages 4 during their 3rd quarter so they should perform much better.

Hi Novice, all significant news regarding this counter has already been made known. It's now in the gestation period as the 2nd line will only come to fruition sometime in late 2016. Meanwhile with the underlying weak market sentiment it will be vulnerable to selling pressure in a market downturn. I am in this counter for the long haul as I have absolute confidence in it's fundamentals. However due to the market volatility and while waiting for the expansion to be completed I will be taking some profits at the RM4 level and buying when it drift below RM3.50.

I reckon that the down-side in this case is quite minimal due to the cash backing. So will be cheering for Sona.
