Love is in the air, everywhere I look around Love is in the air, every sight and every sound And I don't know if I'm being foolish Don't know if I'm being wise But it's something that I must believe in And it's there when I look in your eyes Love is in the air, in the whisper of the tree

While we don't like Rais's appointment due to his treachery, it is a good thing he is replacing the arrogant gangster who walked in his slipper in the Bunga Raya lounge.

First, we ban our MM2H residents from returning during the 2 months MCO, then now we lock up some of our visitors who did not overstayed on their own accord.

What kind of hospitality is this when we ask for their money in good times but abandon them in bad times.

"This particular debate is harrowing. Ketuanan Melayu relates to Malay empowerment, about a race finding their footing after centuries of subjugation. It is a self-motivational theme aimed not at suppressing other Malaysians."

Who was in power for more than 60 years???
So Who was responsible for the subjugation???
Who was subjugating who???
Who was responsible for all the loss of the rakyats monies???

"Ketuanan Melayu relates to Malay empowerment, about a race finding their footing after centuries of subjugation. It is a self-motivational theme aimed not at suppressing other Malaysians".

How can any rational person say/believe the above? "centuries of subjugation"...really? "finding their footing?"...it's right in front of them and they can't see it! "aimed not at suppressing other Malaysians?" just watch the lunatics in UMNO/PAS (even through to Anwar) with their wet dreams of the "Malay agenda" (never mind Islam). Enough...the country is called Malaysia...and the people in it are Malaysians. If you can't fathom that, you can forget your "unity government".

PN is repeating exactly what they did when they lost GE14 and they still hope to win the next general election using the same tactics. The young people are not into these kind of freedom suppression and injustice. It’s time you guys change your MO or else you will go back to square one again.

Whichever way it goes, if you fail to rectify the situation and take back Putrajaya which you are responsible for, both of you will be remembered and considered 2 worst traitors to Malaysia as a whole.... this is because both of you are so self serving first and country serving second....so, imagine what Malaysians will say on your death...

I think we need to look at this saga with more objectivity. It is not about who deserves to be the PM, who has been lied to and who we feel sorry for. Malaysia is fast slipping into a Banana Republic with no respect for basic governance, so it is a question of who can more effectively wrestle Putrajaya back?

Additionally, Muhyiddin's tapes (which captured what Moo said about Agong's opinion of Anwar) was very troubling. Now, you think the Malays dare to support Anwar after hearing about the almighty's opinion on Anwar? 3R is so important to the Malays. Anwar is toast.

We may have no choice but to hold our nose and support Tun again?

I think Anwar should be the PM and Mahathir the minister mentor. Anwar is the originator of the reform agenda. There is none on the scene who – including Mahathir – can understand the reform agenda as good as Anwar.

I am an admirer of Mahathir but I think it is time to allow Anwar to perform. Mahathir must prove his pledge of GE14 now and reclaim his legacy. There is no alternative.

Of course I believe.

Singapore foreign workers are infected with Covid 19 in the tens of thousands and Malaysia until recently hardly any and most recently 15 cases.

The world including the USA is facing massive unemployment, the worse since the Great depression and Malaysia statistics forecasts a range that is the same or 2 percentage worse only.

Of course despite there being no air travel, 300,000 workers cannot travel daily to Singapore to work, no Singaporeans travelling to Malaysia to shop, rock bottom demand for oil anf prices (same for palm oil) being a key export earning money Malaysia can still manage growth based on PAS.

What nonsense. These idiots have no grounding in reality. This is obvious the product of the local PAS no standard schools and equally someone who made it to an equally no standard university based on privileges derived from race and not merit.

I suppose it explains why PAS states are basket cases as are businesses run by PAS and the like. When they start a business with free money or cheap loans they project base on their wonderful business plans deluded profits they feel they can earn. Without even making a cent they spend beyond their means to renovate their homes, buy expensive furniture and the obligatory Mercedes or BMW. Let's not talk about luxury holiday shopping trips.

THEN THE MARKETS SPEAK, and the business fails (so many examples not worth writing) and the public needs to bail them out again. This is what is going to happen to our GLCs.

My advice when you read PAS and the like and their 'economic' papers - throw in the rubbish bin, that is where it belongs.

Don't ever forget the reluctance of PRDM to solve the murder of the IGP Abdul Rahman who was shot dead in broad day light at about 8.30 am on 7-6-1974 at Lorong Weld, (now known as Lorong Raja Chulan) Kuala Lumpur. They the PRDM and the AG's chambers charged 2 people and when the case was fixed for hearing, the DPP promptly withdrew the charges. Thereafter it became a cold case file. THE POLIS and the new IGP never bothered to continue with the investigation. If they coud do this (reluctance to investigate further) to their very own TOP polis officer, do you think that they would bother about Pastor Koh and the others who dissappeared in the hands of the very infamous Special Branch ? It is 46 years since this brutal murder of a dedicated and loyal TOP Polis Officer took place and whom the then Prime Minister stated that the IGP was gunned down by "ANTINATIONAL ELEMENTS". It is pertinent to note that the then PM DID NOT SAY that the assailents were communists, gangsters etc although the PRDM were at pains to pin this murder also on the assailants of the Chief Police Officer of Perak. Although they were due to hang they asked for this murder to be tried...the rest is sandiwara. If the present bunch of SB officers were around then, with that Pichay fellow leading them, they would probably blame it on the LTTE !!!! The murder of the Mongolian lady has still not been solved ! Who gave the command to kill her ???

Anyway, however much we have drifted in this topic, it does not justify the corrupt practice of the current government and their undying effort of letting off all these politicians from the crime that they have committed.

QueenElizebeth IV , Do you have something against me? I only mentioning about higher power because our friend DoubleProsperity commented that everything that happen in this world is controlled by his god Allah and that corruption is part of the DNA that Allah has put into human being. All i'm trying to imply is that, these corrupted ppl do not believe in any god, Allah or not.

You are right that it could be their upbringing that might have caused them to practice corruption, perhaps also peer pressure and competition in life. But I am not commenting about how and why a person turn to corruption. I am talking about why a person do not cease to commit corruption in the context of DoubleProsperitys comment. You should read and understand before commenting.

It is also not a load when I implied that these people who committed corruption, whatever their motivation or upbringing may be, do not believe in a higher power, be it in law or in god to punish them for their practices. Because if they do, they would be afraid to commit a crime. Imagine, if you know you are guaranteed going to be punished terribly, why still do it? You do it because in the back of your mind, you believe that there is nothing in the world that can punish you. I am not a theologian. I am merely replying to a fellow commenter based on his context of corruption. Perhaps you should read and understand the comments deeply next time.

Nothing can justify corruption. Corruption is committed by those that do not truly believe in a higher power. They thought that they will never be punished because they possess the highest of power.

Corruption is not a natural occurrence nor is it normal. What you are implying is as though its part of life and we should accept it. If that is the case then perhaps there shouldn't be life.

Our job as part of mankind is to defend justice for those who are right and fight against those who are wrong. That is the reason why there are system and laws in every nation and organisation. Laws are meant to govern us so this sort of crime doesn't happen or happen less. It is anarchy if everyone do not follow the rule of law and commits crime that benefit them, without facing punishment.

If someone is allowed to steal billions from government coffers and gets away Scots free, what is stopping a layman from walking into a shop and steal whatever that they want?

The answer lies in what's lies US interest mainly.
And what are US ( main ) interest (s) ?.
US wanting ( for sure) to maintain it's world dominance, it's 'hegemony', as uno Super Power, ,,,,
US Dollar as international currency, and hence ease of QE even to say 'unfettered' manner,,,,,,,
US interest(s) are of bi-partition political standing - over long term strategic view or plans

MoneyMachineMaker发发发 yes In fact, the world will soon return to the gold standard like it had for centuries before Bretton Woods which led to USD hegemony. USD is rapidly coming to an end, and then all that will matter for monetary matters will be how much physical gold the Treasury of a nation holds. The UK has zero. The US has mostly "paper gold" which is worthless. China possesses at least 100X more real physical gold than the US + UK. Russia has a lot. A few EU nations do too. Central banks have been ramping up gold purchases and dumping worthless US Treasuries that nobody wants. In fact, the foreign sector sold more UST's in the last 8 weeks than in the previous 8 years combined; everyone desperately dumping US debt and the Fed is "buying" it with printed greenbacks. Thus the greenback has been collapsing for 2 months, its crash is accelerating now and USD sits at multiyear or multi-month lows against most other paper currencies. While gold is up 70% against the weak USD, which is worthless garbage printed up by the ever-weaking USA.

Correction, no one wants yuan now! Because the US$ is the main currency of choice worldwide! Even the Soviet Union traded in US$ and its citizens only wanted to hold US$ at home. Many countries are holding ONLY USD not Yuan...

Not to take anything away from Taiwan, but Taiwan is not a connection hub like Hk, Sing, Tokyo and the amount of foreigners living and passing through is pretty far and few. Racism usually runs more rampant in those so called melting pot cities

gooddaymate... Why do you still maintain one country 2 systems. Just give it up and have one China and it would solve all hard feelings and you can live in your so beloved communist one party dictatorship setup. US and any other country have the right to strike deals with counties they think is beneficial for them and so they do with HK now. If the conditions don't apply any more, a new deal need to be negotiates. As simple as that. And just don't forget, China economic growth is coming from export and not from internal consumption, even though it is growing too.

Govt to discuss deportation of illegal immigrants with countries of origin

PUTRAJAYA: The Immigration Department and Foreign Ministry are working closely to ensure that illegal migrants who are rounded up during raids are deported safely to their countries of origin.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the agencies have also been instructed to work out the necessary arrangements for the immigrants to be deported.

He dismissed claims by non-governmental organisations, including the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam), that the government agencies act inhumanely when carrying out raids on undocumented migrants amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It is wrong to say that we were being inhumane (towards the illegal immigrants). Regardless, the status of immigrants hauled up by the Immigration Department remains as Pati (pendatang asing tanpa izin or illegal immigrants), and have no right to remain in the country.

"We will discuss with their countries of origin on deporting them, as we don't want to send them to jail as some were caught while entering the country through rat lanes.

"To say the raids we carried out during the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) were inhumane is inaccurate. During the EMCO placed on Selangor Mansion, (it was learned that) there were 586 illegal immigrants living there," he told a press conference today.

He said when the EMCO ended, the authorities removed the barbed wires to allow residents to move freely.

"The illegal immigrants, however, do not have travel documents. The Immigration Department would be wrong if it allowed them roam freely."

Ismail Sabri said documented migrants and foreigners with work permits are protected by the law, enjoy Social Security Organisation (Socso) benefits, and basic facilities like accommodation.

"We agree that we need them in estates, construction and other sectors under 3D (dirty, dangerous, difficult), but we must follow the laws under the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

"We protect the wellbeing of all foreign workers and ensure that those at construction sites undergo swab tests for Covid-19. If the tests turn out negative, we will discuss deportation with their respective countries.

"It is not good to accuse Malaysia of being inhumane, when some countries treat illegal immigrants poorly. There is no need for politicians and NGOs to act as heroes to the Pati."
