Only last week they were pouring cold water on potential US$100 oil, saying that 2018 average will remain around US$70. Now they're suddenly singing a different tune. So much for credibility.

Oil is not so much impacted by USD value. Becos US is a net exporter of oil, not a net importer.

Dude. You really do NOT understand the POLITICS in Indonesia! The president backed up by the military can 'kill' Indonesian Chinese economic power anytime. But they are just allowing the Chinese to prosper for the time being, as long as it is still benefitting the country, and before the native indigenous Indonesians are ready to take over.

One more thing, Indonesian Chinese do NOT speak Mandarin, Cantonese or Hokkien. They speak Bahasa Indonesia, even between themselves & even when they come to Singapore or Malaysia.
