Ariantec Global may buy Singapore company

PETALING JAYA: Information technology company Ariantec Global Bhd may be acquiring a Singapore company which is involved in reconditioning steel drums and property rental.

The ACE Market-listed firm told Bursa Malaysia that on May 11, it entered into an memorandum of understanding with five Singaporean invididuals concerning the proposed acquisition of a new income generating business.

Ariantec was in the limelight recently after corporate players Datuk Raymond Chan Boon Siew and Datuk Samsudin Abu Hassan acquired stakes in the company.

Ariantec said a proposed restructuring exercise shall include, amongst others, the share acquisition of Jurong Barrels and Drums Industries Pte Ltd (JBAR) which is in the import and export business, and reconditioning steel drums, as well as JBAR's wholly-owned subsidiary KDS Steel Pte Ltd, which is said to have its principal activity as renting its leasehold property.

（吉隆坡11日訊）ARIANTEC環球（AGLOBAL，0020，創業板科技股）計劃收購新加坡裕廊油桶工業公司，以期改善公司財務狀況。

　該公司向馬證交所報備此事，今日已和涉及收購案的5名賣方代表簽署諒解備忘錄。

　這5名新加坡賣方代表是蕭錦廉（譯音）、林金德（譯音）、林士忠（譯音）、林秋萍（譯音），和林金福（譯音）。

　裕廊油桶工業公司主要業務為翻新油桶進出口，該公司的獨資子公司KDS鋼鐵，主要業務為房地產租賃。
