Something is seriously wromg with Genting. All tp by institutions are suggesting north..averagely rm9. Why is it keep going down and the fall is pretty big gap everyday compare to other main counters? Singapore and Msia last reported quarter was good. Coming quarter we don't know. Could it be the sales and profit was hit really really bad that internally they are dumping off? If foreign funds were to pull out, the last would be gaming stock, as it is consider safest. Am not sure how local funds view this stock, perhaps everyone is concerned of the increased tax but then again, it is too soon to call. Yes every counters took a dive as world market down but not as huge as genting bhd. Something is seriously wrong.

Best qtr report only comes out in May. Meanwhile, use your bullets to get some profits from other counters. No need to give forecast as no one is god.

So it doesnt makes sense. It should goes up before dividend ex date tomorrow but instead, it keeps falling down the last few days, even today. Just look at AA, it goes up not down.

Anyone care to explain what entitlement date means? If ex date is 12, when is the last date to hold to get dividend? By 11th 5 pm or by 12th 5pm? Can i sell it before entitlement date and still get dividend?

There have been many Fridays where Dow rallies up, then whole Asia follows but not Msia. Dont be overly optimistic. Of all Asian market, Msia is the worst performer where everybody up, it just down overall. Govt needs to do more to push up our equity market. Very disappointing so far, with low foreign funds how possibly things are looking good? Before you knew it, the bull is over and bear overtakes the world.

As much as i would like the price to climb high, a good qtr report can only do so much to lift up the price. Afterall the stock price was already down 7% last few days. How much gain can it make in reversal...10%? The burden falls on the management to convince insitutional players to invest in their shares, retails can only do so much unless you can buy in millions to help sustain the uptrend momentum. EPF needs to be positive with AA and not holding back. They have been active with Mahb but not AA lately. Why the punishing?

The same can't be said last Friday when Dow was up, plus good news over China US talk over the weekends, sending all markets in the region up today, with China the best performance todate. Yet, Malaysia is somewhere closer to Pakistan performance, if not bcoz of a late tilt of selected stocks to move klci to slight positive. Genting was supposed to be up today too but instead it went south.

That's not good news just before qtr report out, gonna send out a selling frenzy

Karen, i dont know much myself but i read and read anything that is related to the stock to purchase and get updates from market news, internal and external. From there, make your own judgement. It is nice if anyone can update related news on this forum, which can be shared. From there, i digest and make my own call. I wouldnt listen to anyone here to make a bull run, likewise not want to follow anyone to Holland. Remisiers are culprits most of the time. They will promote to you and everyone they know of to heavily buy in certain counters, so you will first fly high. Happy beginning. But what they dont tell you is that they had cashed out soon after. They reaped their profits and you go fly drop straight to Holland. Sad ending. So be wise and trust your own analysis only k.
