Looking at CBIP q4 report here, really make me feel this counter is going big time, very soon.
Currently business already good, and their associates (plantation JV) already contributing.
Next year will have their 100% own Indonesian plantation contributing and going to be bigger and bigger, as hugh as some plantation big boys, wonder if the size of those big boys plantations is about the same as CBIP, then it should have big numbers on the Rev and Profits too.

1. Share split 5:1
you get 1200x5=6000 shares

2. Bonus 1:3(subdivided shares)
you get another 6000/3 = 2000 shares

Total you have 6000+2000 shares

At the cost of Rm8,040, you now have 8000 shares
Each 1000 shares cost 8040/8000 = 1.005

Using Rm6.70

Buy 1200, 1200 x 6.70 = 8,040
End up with 8000 shares after split and bonus
1000 shares = Rm8.040/8000 = Rm1.005

Bonus of 1 for every 3 sub divided shares.

DC, your layman financial is better than mine.
Last year's detachment from the loss making steel business may have taken its toll and reflected somehow in the early part of this financial year, more so on its impairment, writing off for good.
Next quarter should reveal more if its done with.
This business still have a good future.
Once fully settled down, it should be doing better, as I can see its getting better abeit slowly now.
Lets be hopeful that we are the early bird.

Gadang now is not the Gadang before, it has taken on more and bigger projects, chk the Rev and Earnings, its a different set of results, not like few years back. Thx

I hope they could improve as time goes. More so on the admin & operating expenses, trade recievables. At the same time, its vital to build up Rev as well. It will be good if I can see improved figures on that quarterly, then we know, it has grown more solid.

With 80m shares issued, and a willingness to grow, they can still leverage on that, grow its equity and business and become bigger.

I look at the business and management and I don't mind betting on this counter to stabilize further and grow (not now), so I went in early.

Gji Gan, yes its good to hold. If you read thro the post that I made in this thread, you can understand better. I am not sure which direction it will go immediately after the split, but think long term benefits most of the silent shareholders here. Only they will understand perfectly how much they have made in the past.
After all the split/bonus, I am sure the management will work on the expansion to Indonesia. Five years from now, perhaps it will reach Rm6.60 again?

For all, the dividend is already declared and will Ex on 27/3/14.
