10 substantial shareholders (directors including) owns 69.54% of the 163m shares.
Balance of roughly 30% of the 163m shares may consist of long term shareholders.
Assume half of them are, so left 15% are free floating traded shares.
15% of 163m = 24.45m shares at Rm0.41 ~ Rm10m
Can be cornered easily.

The past couple of days, market has been weak and Symlife followed that too. After ex date, mostly will drop (based on observation of other counters), similarly, the dividend has been the driver for the price movement to a certain extent, once its gone, there isn't any for the time being till some major announcement comes from the company. I think the market has somewhat mostly level now at the base and now you can see some movements up for a lot of beaten down counters. For me, I am waiting for after Ex, as I am unsure if the worst is over. Just an opinion from me, hope it helps. Others can comment too.

If you have any symlife shares on the very last second of the trading day before 23/9, these shares are entitled for dividends.

I read the AR, the company have hit the right note when they focus primarily on the LED sector in the last 2 years. I believe the coming quarter will see them growing the business exponentially, so if you believe in this sector, its the right time to take up position for the long term. However if you are a short term player, I do see weakness and therefore theres opportunities to get it at a lower price too. Lets see,... please to see more comments, but lets hope that we all stick to discussion on the counter, so that we learn more about the company.

Just my opinion here, if you believe the fundamentals will improved further, just wait for your preferred entry price and you are in the game again.

The current market weakness is not good to every counter, some fell hard, some weakened, and the strong ones may be affected too, if it goes on. But isn't this a good opportunity to add more as it goes down? That is, if you see that this counter has a good future. If not, just wait for the momentum to come back

Frank Soweto, Thx, finally I have some time now to look at the July directors dealing as you mentioned.

Noticed that the directors bought much more than they sold. All three CCH,THH and STK. But of course the main person who should be in the know as to whether the coming Q report is good or not has bought much more. Looks positive to me for now. Hope that when the report is out, no more hanging around 0.40.

As they have mentioned in the AR2013, enquiries and demand have been received throughout 2013, possible that this years performance will improved dramatically as the focus on the growing LED business bear fruit.

1. What kind of investor are you, short or long term, trader, speculator?
2. Check its past history and performance to know more of the company
3. Look at what its future and potential is
4. Look at its historical price patterns (a good company share price may not go up and vice versa)
5. What is your expectation investing in it.

I guess these are my sincere comments.

richardtan79, I don't understand what it means to integrate business. The current situation may lead to some weakness. Yes sure, it will rebound, the magnitude may not be strong though, unless there are some catalyst.

If one can hold, in fact its good to take position now while its still cheap. Once its Quarterly results start improving, it will cost more to acquire. Reading the AR, I get the idea that the new direction of focusing the business more on the LED sector is a good move and possibly be very rewarding for the company and its shareholders. Do you guys agree?

This counter is consolidating around Rm1.00 level for some time. Jiak Sai. I think the Q results should be good. Maybe not be around this level for long once the results are out. Just a personal opinion. Trade at own risk.

vinvin, I think the major shareholders hold a big position, perhaps that's the reason that they wont support. Lets see, if the price is attractive, it may draw a lot of investors in. Overall, I guess they have rewarded shareholders well too in the past. The dividends lwere very good. I believe they will continue to perform well, just the current price may not be able to attract much after the bonus/split, the catalyst is not there yet.

I don't think it will collapse. If the Q results are not good, it will go down a bit. The FY will be better than last year. Do you agree?

The reasons are below, besides the semiconductor related business, it has diversified as well. lets share.
1. International Healthway Corp - Project Rm148m - secured in Dec2013
2. LOI secured for KLCC hospital project (from IHC) Sing30-35m
3. Same for Iskandar hospital from IHC confident of getting.
4. Pengerang Rapid project - gas purification and delivery system
5. Taiwan biodiesel plant Rm100m - positive to securing.
Some of these projects will be realized or secured this year.
