When someone tell you low oil price will not have negative impact on knm, it is very clear he does not know knm business model.

If this is a real future star real cash cow, a lot of fund manager will come to buy, for me this is a goreng stock.

You didn't get my point about ethanol, you know their production rate x ethanol price that's the revenue. Profit margin is xx% then you know the rough profit. Their production rate is very low only.
My only point is don't over sell the profit this company can make. Don't buy with retirement fund in stock like this.

Ethanol price is not a secret, times production capacity, how much per year is able to generate can be calculated.

If you believe knm is not affected by low oil price, just ask anyone of your friend who is working in the o&g and who really know knm.

If you are 100% sure knm worth a lot more, just sell your underwear to buy. I would not buy sapura, armada and knm for reasons because I know them, and I made this point since they were at high price.

Majority of knm business are still the equipment supplier which the profit margin is not high. For example, pressure vessel/heat exchangers/waste heat recovery unit, buying steel (known price among competitors), it is a competition on efficiency to fold them, weld them, make them into the product. The price differences among competitors are very minimal. High revenue low profit, you think they hide the profit? The segment they are would not allow high profit margin. Don't need to trust me, just grab a friend you can trust who are working in the industry and know what is happening.
Borsig compressor? Never heard about it, certainly not a market leader.
Ethanol, just need to Google ethanol price, usd 1.3 per gallon? 200,000 litres per day equal to how much revenue.

Last few years, KNM has also closed down a number of factory, sell off some subsidiary and a number of good people left the company. If you visit their factory, you would know they are actually behind in terms of technology and efficiency compared to many other competitors in China/Korea. The margin is very low so if efficiency is not improved, it would not be competitive.

Short term oil price fluctuations would not affect balance sheet of this company, remember they don't own the oil. Even go up 100 usd per bbl also would not make them earn more money in short term, same when it goes down.

Be careful with armada, they recently won a project in India but that was a project no other company want to take.... Their other existing fpso are also not those attractive projects, weak clients etc.

Fpso leased on operate contract is normally based on fixed chartered rate + penalty/bonus based on KPI, it is not possible to get usd10/bbl (no such a good deal in this world), BA profit not really tie to oil price, but tie to their performance in achieving the KPI (uptime, safety, etc.).

Be careful with sapura, they won several projects with super low price, velesto is more feasible for profit in coming quarters.

Think about it, if there is good news coming soon, Leon would not have to go. Better observe first.

I also think buy over is the only way out, fpso is playground for big companies, the small one really hard to survive. The chance for misc to take over is actually low (but possible), because they are setting up their own fpso team now, and what BA can offer them is actually limited (nobody want the huge debt and poor fpsos....). Again, there may be a small chance for the jackpot.

Go buy velesto, mmhe, misc is more visible for profit, but of course buying this has better chance for jackpot, depend what you want.

Drilling activities are picking up so they should get more jobs, the question is how well the jobs are managed, last Q results was disappointing.

Superpanda, I still think it is possible for this company to go bankrupt :) the reasons are their fpsos are leased to weak clients, they still can't bid any new projects, they continue to retrench their staff, etc. It is not clear how they can become competitive again and from history a number of small fpsos players have gone bankrupt. Again the risks is high, but you all are free to invest with your own judgment.

Oil price is not really tied to this company income, get the fact right.
People in the industry are looking negative on the future of this company including their own employees, definitely not going to turn around in short term since they can't even bid.

The only thing that can be sure is you would not see a news that they are winning new project, because they are not allowed to bid due to huge debt since some months ago. Still don't see any tangible action on this.

BA income and oil price are not directly linked, please get the fact right, for example if now oil price go to 100, BA income would still the same, unless it sustains at high oil price for longer term and BA get to win more projects but this would take few years to reflect. They are not oil operator, they are not selling oil.

I am very sure Petronas did not invite BA to bid for a coming fpso on Malaysia water.

BA with Hassan was really different, BA with the current management is really a gone case, gamble is OK, long term investment is no no.
