@sunnyspoon, it depends in your intention when you give negative comments here. I also want to buy low but I won't tell others to sell. If I don't have money to buy, I will wait for my next month's salary. Also, Indonesia announcement to ban export was when it was around RM1.70. You have sold your share even before the announcement. It is not good to lie.

They can't hold it down forever right? With high dividend later, many are coming in. News of oil ban will bring attention of others. At the same time tech stocks and oil and gas stocks are plunging....

Plantation stock trend is like staircase. Go up then flat then go up then flat. Since last year already like this. Until end of year we will see the result. I keep on average up every month.

Many locals are still in tech stocks. They got used to it and don't want to change. Let foreign find come in. 2 weeks ago India and other countries says their cooking oils can last 1 month, so now they only have 2 weeks.

Ferrero only stop buying from SIMEPLT. But can buy from other CPO companies. If other companies CPO already booked, then Ferrero cannot have productions already lo.

Earning: RM400 per ton
Monthly earning assume RM1m

If CPO: RM6000 per ton
Minus production cost RM1600 per ton
Earning = RM4400 per ton = RM11 monthly earning?

Hi Calvin, if the production cost is RM1600, the CPO is RM2000, then the earning is RM400. If assume the earning is RM1m. It means that each addition of RM400 per ton will increase the earning by 1m. So if the CPO now is RM6000, then minus by RM1600, the the earning is RM4400 per ton. Divided by RM400 per ton, it should be 11 times more. Then it will be RM11m this month?

Don't worry, half day and trading volume is only 300k. Just some retails selling. Others are holding nicely.

Being a newbie investor, I made losses before this. Finally I get gain from this. From previous stocks, the news and indication was not clear and I made wrong judgement. For palm oil, the indications are clear. Firstly thanks to good blogger such as Calvin, for constantly providing information without hiding. Then, then worlds reserved or spare cooking oil only left about a month, then they have to buy palm oil. We can see even Indonesia is lacking cooking oil.

Maybe after today no more RM1.70. Many news about edible is not enough in India, Europe and even Indonesia now. More will come plantation counters.

The maximum price of a 5kg pure cooking palm oil is RM29.70; 1kg bottle (RM6.70); 2kg bottle (RM12.70); and 3kg bottle (RM18.70)

Just bought 5kg cooking oil at RM29 last week. I was reading somewhere gov was controlling the cooking oil price until March and will give new price later. I am pretty sure gov was subsidising the cooking oil price.
