Sadly, the China/US conflict (it seems to be going from cold to hot, due to a group of decisions from the Trump administration) is viewed militarily or through a business lens. Instead, it ought to be viewed as a currency contest. The USD is strong, while the YNY is weak (even pegged to the USD). The US government and it's people can act imperialistically since their currency is strong. The US is instigating Taiwanese independence, Hong Kong revolt, and virtually every other form of cold war strategy to weaken China. China must be reactive and yin due to their inferior position. Yes, they can continue with the yin strategy, growing stronger by the year, but sooner-or-later Washington will blow through some Beijing red line and hostilities will have commence. That is certainly their strategy: make the Dragon fight before it gets too strong. Unfortunately for the US, the currency is being treated like toilet paper, being greatly expanded due to tremendously increased debt. Without a strong USD, the US simply doesn't have the ability to continue with such a yang strategy of antagonism towards China.

There is this singleminded obsession with the US-China rivalry, but the world is so much bigger when you consider the non-superpowers alone. And among the 200 or so nations there aren‘t many that love the two heavy-weights. A majority of us do wish that if a war is inevitable it be the USA that wins it. I believe it is a certainty that all nations have some troubling beef with the CCP, and none is anti-China as such.

I think there will be armed conflict; there is an odd narrative, and it appears there should be conflict! China can get out intact but by US might brought down a notch, and its discourse con reveal the people rights!

The world is changing, but the old guard doesn't like it. But change is inevitable. The US military dominance may continue, but its economic power will surely decline within the next 50 years. As long as China doesn't become a failed state, the future looks bright for Asian countries.

yeah, if you'd like others to list some epithets about China, I am sure you will not like it. So, my advice is to set aside your complex of inferiority and get educated.

This PH never ever learns its lesson. Always in the last minute try to outsmart others and in the end nothing materialized and in fact turned into disaster. Sigh.

All needed is just a few MPs to wake up to their conscience to rejoin PH or move across to form a new government to block the crooks and thieves from regaining power. The rakyat will be forever grateful to their the unselfish attitude in preventing this land from becoming the new hell. They will be known in history as savers of this land for many generations to come.
