If the collapse of 2 major banks in US continues to intensify, making liquidity even more challenging in the financial sector, apart from the ESG Act. Is there FC or fallacy!

Awarding contracts are flying around everywhere. The crux of giving contracts is the source of funds, ie financing. Contractors will be very concerned on payment security, ie proof of funds, while securing financing is yet an unknown.

All boils down to whether financing can be secured! Got to wait for news from EXIM Bank now, what's the financing status.

Why the annoucement is 8 months late ? Seems major shareholder also exit, is the project still on? Toyo has not given a meaningful update to shareholders.

Toyo's recent announcements which left with unresolved development, an open ending with scenarios of 'possible' or 'impossible' to carry on. Being minority shareholders, we just keep our fingers crossed, no reservation needed to join 'bungkus kaw-kaw'.

Toyo is required to submit Lender's Commitment Letter by 30th October 2022 .........,,,,,,,,,,,, but according to Toyo's announcement to Bursa dated on 7th July 2022, Toyo has successfully achieved financial close, such a contradictory statement. Something serious is brewing ???

Toyo has not updated on progress status of their Vietnam power plant till to-date, coming to year end already.

For those who have bought Toyo shares, so are we, at RM1 and above will be in suspend mode, with no clear direction, which way Toyo is heading to, is the project still on, if it is, how much longer to wait. @Just88, the Toyo sailang everything scenario is worrisome, if it happens, hell gonna break loose.

@hng33, though we hardly can understand what is EPC contract, EPCC2 contract, sub-back to Toyo thingy, we are now more concerned of our recoupment of our investment in Toyo shares. We are all hoping for the best if the project can kick off.

We are hoping for Toyo to make the next big announcement , when they are having the ground breaking ceremony and starting construction. Fishy statement, achieved Financial Close but subject to VN govt's approval, if the FC is for real, why still need approval as financier/financing banks would have given all approvals. Just to provide all valid financing documents to the VN authorities is sufficient. Its like saying when one gets a loan approval from the financing bank , still subject to developer's approval....... utter rubbish

Last September , President Xi Jinping already made official statement that no more building coal-fired power plants. Toyo also has not announced officially that the project is still on. Another major shareholder also started disposing shares. What does all this tell??????

hi Just88, if such a case, situation in Toyo isn't looking good. Once shares diluted, especially the amount owing runs into hundred of millions RM compared to Toyo's earnings, their shares will be like a tombstone, for remembrance!
