Oil & Gas (Neutral): Oil rises close to USD50 but doubts on OPEC plan cap gains. Oil jumped more than 1% on Thursday, with Brent nearing USD50 a barrel on optimism over OPEC's first planned output cut in eight years, although gains were limited by doubts the reduction would make a substantial dent in the global crude glut. Comment: OPEC has agreed on the need to cut oil output, but the finalised plan will only be for their next meeting scheduled for 30th November. Whether this deal will be reached is however far from certain. OPEC officials said that a committee would be formed to determine the level of cuts for each country. Overnight the market has reacted to the news, which has helped oil prices bounce back up to USD49.24/bbl for Brent. Until a firm plan is drawn however, we refrain from assumptions to factor in a higher oil price level. We therefore remain Neutral on the sector, with our average Brent oil price estimates as follows: 2016 – USD44/bbl, 2017 – USD50/bbl and end 2017 – USD60/bbl.
