KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Vivocom and GETS Global fell in mid-morning trade on Thursday as the stocks came under selling pressure after the recent rally.

At 10.40am, Vivocom fell 11 sen to 74.5 sen with 259.58 million shares done. This is the lowest since Nov 4 and off the recent high of RM1.92 on Nov 19.

GETS also lost 11 sen to RM2.85 with 9.64 million shares. It had surged to a high of RM4 on Nov 17.

The FBM KLCI fell 0.83 of a point or 0.05% to 1,596.75. Turnover was 2.52 million shares done valued at RM1.21bil. There were 436 gainers, 423 losers and 468 counters unchanged.

GETS recent price surge in the absence of any fresh news and its unusual market activity had seen Bursa Securities issuing a caution to investors.

GETS provides public transport services consisting express and stage bus operations; and the assembly, sale and after-sale of buses.

（吉隆坡30日讯）独立顾问指出，关氏（KWANTAS，6572，主板种植股）大股东关恩华提出的选择性资本回退“不公平但合理”，建议小股东接受。

根据顾问Mercury证券的报告，关氏应用通常用以衡量亏损公司的“净资产估值法”，来评估资本回退价格。

根据评估，关氏的市值应达约11亿710万令吉，或每股3.55令吉；然而，大股东献议以每股1.65令吉选择性资本回退来私有化关氏，折价了53.5%，因此献议“不公平”。

不过，关氏股价过去5年来，几乎都低于献议价；而且1.65令吉的出价，比起关氏于提出选择性资本回退献议参考日期的5天、1个月、3个月、半年和1年交易量加权均价（VWAP），溢价高达181%至220%之间。

而且，关氏股票的流动性也不高，故Mercury证券认为，献议“合理”。

关恩华是于今年8月下旬提出选择性资本回退建议，计划以超高溢价私有化公司，这让关氏接连两天涨停板。

Rubberex 3Q net profit surges 13 times amid strong nitrile glove demand

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 20): Rubberex Corp (M) Bhd's net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2020 surged 13 times to RM39.52 million from RM3.11 million in the previous year's corresponding quarter, as demand for nitrile gloves spiked amid the pandemic.

Revenue for the quarter jumped 75% to RM109.03 million from RM62.23 million a year earlier.

"The improved profits were mainly due to an overall increase in demand of the group's products namely household, industrial and nitrile disposable gloves due to the Covid-19 pandemic since early this year, higher average glove selling prices, favourable exchange rates and improved production efficiencies," said Rubberex in a filing with the exchange.

For the cumulative nine months ended Sept 30, 2020, net profit increased 860% to RM71.74 million from RM7.47 million in the previous year, while revenue increased 57% to RM263.56 million from RM168.33 million.

Going forward, the group said it is focused on the nitrile disposable glove division, which is currently operating at full capacity, and said its performance is expected to continue for the rest of 2020, pointing out that its order book has been filled up to last until the second half of 2021.

"The group's next capacity expansion is on track and is expected to contribute to the group's earnings in the fourth quarter of 2020 onwards," it said.

In a separate filing, Rubberex said its wholly-owned subsidiary Rubberex Alliance Sdn Bhd has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Prisma Lengkap Sdn Bhd to acquire two parcels of land in Perak for RM11.39 million.

The two parcels comprise a 35,260-square-metre tract and another 12,839-square-metre tract in Sungai Terap, Kinta, Perak to be purchased for RM8.35 million and RM3.04 million respectively, to be funded via internally generated funds.

The group said it intends to use the lands to expand its manufacturing and sales of nitrile disposable gloves.

"The proposed acquisition is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Rubberex group as demand for gloves remains strong amid the Covid-19 pandemic," it said.

The group expects to complete the acquisition by the first quarter of 2021, barring unforeseen circumstances.

At 12.30pm, Rubberex rose 14 sen or 7.41% to RM2.03, giving a market capitalisation of RM1.69 billion.
