In order for the index to track closely every component markets movement,funds have to sell out certain portion of their Malaysia holdings to meet the correct proportion and Malaysia weightage in the index, and this action will particularly impact both maybank & cimb the most since these two are those few largest components in KLCI and carry huge weightage.

Semicon industry demand seems to soften or rather flat this year.But unisem business is a bit more diversified eg automotive segment.Some more with quite consistent dividend payout nowadays.Even if we are a bit more conservative say PE12,it will be worth like 2.64 also. Keep too =)

I think the results should not be bad.Cut loss is not desirable if one is looking long term and short term volatility should be neglected.Only if the company business outlook is bleak,or the whole stock market trend is just spiraling down and no sign of recovering in near term then I will only consider cutting loss.

Hevea being bashed down few times last year,after that it always rises to new heights.Though this time the extent is horribly extreme,if one can ignore the short term noise and patiently wait till the storm is over,the gain will be back,as the earnings is there.No point cutting loss now when the price is low and chase high again when it rises

Actually really no point arguing.Next QR is around the corner..Let the fact talks.We will know by next month.But expecting painful paper loss these few days seems unavoidable.To me the one and only risk now is what if the rumors is real?On the flip side,there are proven tons of positive news for the whole 2015.So,to believe in rumors or proven track record is up to individuals.Those with strong heart shall be abundantly rewarded

I don't believe a company can deteriorate so fast in a day or two.If structurally got problem,the share price might have shown some clues for the past few months since many of you here claimed that you all are having privileged leaked insiders info.
Also,don't forget a number of board members just converted their warrants in millions last month.You think they will burn their own money from their pockets if hevea really got problem

I guess you didn't consider the 1:4 stock split effect.The 43.46cents eps should be the one prior to stock split.

Why EPS 43.46 sen DPS(dividend) only 2.5sen? If this is Xinquan or other China counters will people accept?

Today is the ex-date for Rm0.24 dividend.Usually the opening price on ex-date will be the price of previous day deduct dividend amount,which in this case is 8.71-0.24=8.47.To be entitled for dividend,one must hold Maybank shares at yesterday close

There is literally no way for maybank to go up to 9.50 end of this month.If the expiry is end of the year then at least still have slim chance.Unless US & China markets everyday have upbeat news,else year end window dressing activity might also not be able to drag the price up so much as there will be lots of profits taking in the process

Lesson of the day,don't simply put your money on instruments that you don't really understand.I also almost bought call warrants without fully knowing how it works.Luckily read some comments in this forum about the lack of liquidity & manipulation of share price few days before expiry of call warrants.Hope newbies like us won't suffer huge loss from all these

hng33 is quite true on that.Assuming maybank dividend payout stays around 55cent,your cost is already down to 8.33.Once the uncertainty is cleared & sentiments improves,it will rise pretty quickly.If have extra cash can average down the cost.If somehow klse crash,then maybe can adopt other strategy like sell low but buy back later at even lower price.No matter what,find a way that suits your investing profile & comfort level.No point panic of maybank this kind of good stock at price above 8.00

If hold for a year guess both will be winners.Lol.But as homeritz has just allocated a sum in capex for expansion and part of their raw materials is usd denominated,not sure how much myr weakening is actually benefiting them and reflected in coming quarter report.Just to be safe I am holding both as a newbie and that save all the hesitation

Not sure how well will furniture companies performed generally in the coming year.But I believe particleboard definitely has its market share especially higher grade products which only being offered by few companies,at least for the next one or two years to come.I am bullish with the target price of at least 1.50 by year end as suggested by some forum contributors here =)
