RM1.25 net cash in their bank, and another RM1.50 EPS over the course of the year. Numbers like these, and makes sense for Supermax to either BUYBACK their own shares, and/or payout a special dividend. I like these odds.

Some people say 29th Apr Earnings release, some say 20th May. Which date will the quarterly earnings be announced?

The way I see it:
1) KYY has said before that he cannot find another company that comes close to the prospects and business dynamics of Dayang.
2) KYY's networth is far in excess of whatever he currently has in Dayang. The recent plunge most likely had shrunk his networth by 10% maybe?
3) Extreme pessimism and speculating about margin calls, 2-3 limit down etc etc. Everyone panic and sell cheap because of a few punters that spread fear (these punters are the real evil that cause inexperienced investors to panic and cut loss)

You know what? If I was KYY, I would top up those margin calls - Afterall, my networth is many times more than this. Everyone willing to sell cheap, less than half the price from just 2 weeks ago and currently trading slightly below book value. I WILL SAPU. And I will thank all these punters for the opportunity to buy a fantastic business at a cheap price.

With market so bad recently, most people would have lost some money in one stock or another. Yet, there are people who go around saying "I told you so lah...", "Want to bet that it go touch 1.07 lah". Really sadistic and immature.

No investor can claim that they have never lost money before. Be humble and constructive with your comments please. Its not whether or not you fall that matters. It is how fast you can pick yourself back up.

This "crisis" will create many opportunities for us to find RM0.50 ----> RM3.20 kind of stocks or even RM0.50 ---> RM6.40. Some will have the foresight to identify such investment stocks (+500%, +1000%), many wouldnt. But seems to me that many of loudspeakers here are not actually investors at all. They are punters who think they are investors.

Although I do not have any shares in this counter, notice that there are alot of really sadistic+heartless people in here. Do your own research, if you feel that its worth buying then buy, if feel like not worth buying then dont buy. But seriously, quit this loser mentality of wanting to see successful people fail. The market is not a zero sum game.

Yes, good to have short and longer term goals.

RM11 is possible, and so is paperplane's RM16 target.. Its just a matter of how long investors are willing to wait.

I believe RM16 (if at all possible), would likely be a reasonable target over 3 years.

Most traders here wont be willing to wait. But best things come to investors who have the patience.

u have bulls, and u have bears. Thats what makes a market. Personally, I am positive on its prospects, and hope that when company pees, it would be liquid GOLD for investors.

Good thing also is that Sunright announces their results on a semi-annual basis.
Recent filing was for the 1st Half ending 31st Jan..
So whatever results that KESM comes out with, investors will have at least a 3 months lead before Sunright announces theirs.

True, but those are variables which we cant predict.
The simplistic example i gave is on an As-is basis.

Sunright holds 48% ownership in KESM, currently trades at SGD$0.34 (market cap of SGD41m ~RM120m)

KESM market cap is currently RM352m, meaning the 48% ownership stock is worth RM352m x 48% = RM169m

Just valuing Sunright solely based on their holdings in KESM (ignoring the remaining business), RM169m/122.8 shares = RM1.38/share

RM1.38 per share is equivalent to SGD$0.46 for Sunright.

You therefore get a cheaper proxy to KESM, AND you get the remainder of Sunright’s businesses for free!)
