Honestly I was caught in the euphoria when IFCA expect to announce best Quarter results yet...I continued to buy recklessly upward i.e. averaging up but mainly for contra trade...

Admittedly the contra trades have now become a medium term trade with the likes of Black Rock and JP Morgan..( yes I understand fro a posting that they are investors in IFCA too)..

The Q1 result was quite good with PBT at 13.6mil with unnecessary high provision of RM 3m for taxes bringing PAT attributable to shareholder to just Rm 9.7 mil...making it marginally better than 4Q14...Notwithstanding this the money is not loss, it is a provision and the PAT would be about Rm 11-12mil...

Ifca also announced that they are going regional....Getting into the Indon market is also a good strategy...

BUT the general market sold on this good news...making buy on rumours and selling on news a well proven saying..sigh..for all I care the train is on track but only slightly delayed by funds taking profits and retails getting caught, panicked, cut losses and fear of political factors..

To me the new IFCA emerges on the back of bigger regional play and SaaS...apparently starting with the HR solution system 360..( my friend is considering doing a SaaS with them)....

for me i think very simple, from 0.2 to 0.38 is almost 100% return, even if I have to wait until July/Aug, 100% return in 3-4 months, is super good already, how many ppl here can get 50% in 1 year? In this year market, I guess a lot of ppl get burnt. So as simple as that.

If you keep thinking to move your fund to other counters, how sure you can make profits, when majority of the ppl start to give up, that the time the counter going to move, by that time, you can just kiss your profit goodbye.

Last 2 Q combined EPS, – Mitra (7.49cents), Bintai (7.88cents)* after new right issue adjustment
Annualized PE based on last 2 Q EPS – Mitra (12.6), Bintai (4.8)
NTA -Mitra (RM1.03), Bintai (RM0.65)
Order book – Mitra (RM1.9b), Bintai (RM1.8b)

But again, the key word is consistency !! Bintai is turn around play, but Mitra performance is rather consistent for the last 2-3 years.

The escalation of political risks in recent months arising from 1MDB was unforeseen by Moody’s, its sovereign analyst Christian de Guzman told reporters in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday.
Even so, the development has limited impact on Malaysia’s rating because Moody’s doesn’t see a roll back in important fiscal reforms implemented in recent years even if there’s a change in leadership, he said. Malaysia is ranked at its fourth-lowest investment grade.
Insufficient Transparency
While the government’s handling of 1MDB is not as transparent as Moody’s expected and concerns surrounding the company have affected investor sentiment, it doesn’t pose a systemic risk to public finances and the economy, de Guzman said.
Should global commodity prices, and oil in particular, “correct significantly and remain depressed” in 2015 and 2016, Malaysia could see twin fiscal and current-account deficits and renewed capital outflows, Moody’s said.
“While not Moody’s baseline scenario, such a situation would lead Moody’s to reconsider its core views of relative stability for the sovereign and rated entities in Malaysia over the coming quarters,” it said.
