Do not base your analysis on usa lumber price to determine msia tropical hard wood prices mah!.

When USA lumber price shoot up from USD 350 to USD 1500 within a few months....our tropical hardwood did not really follow this meteroic price up mah!.

Our tropical hardwood price only started to move up 30% from usd 420 to usd 550 only starting from march to june mah!

Usually out tropical hardwood trade at a premium about 10% more than USA lumber prices bcos of scarcity & hard wood strength mah!

Likewise Now within 3 mths USA lumber prices came back down from USD 1500 to USD 500...our tropical wood still holding on very well at USD 550.

If u Look at the past 5 years chart USA lumber most of the time trade at USD 300 to 550, in fact USA number at 500 is considered good price which are healthy profit for their own timber industry mah!

Coming back to msia...our hardwood lumber was hovering at USD 350 to 500 most of the time for the past 5 years only recently we get usd 550 to 600, thus the current tropical timber price for tropical hard wood at USD 550 is sustainable & will give reasonable good profit for msia timber company mah!

Just forget about USD 1,500 lumber price lah, in msia the tropical timber never enjoyed this kind of prices mah!

We should be happy that our tropical hard wood timber had appreciated 30% for the past 3 mths loh!
