@aiyoyo: a corporate compony having committed on d purchase of BE with rights issues n they also hv applied to Bursa of course can be terminated with d present unexpected oil price.During this course of sliding price HS shd hv given statement in d media, he just cannot keep quiet tantamount to "bad Corporate governance" n in this respect MSHG r not protected.

"QR delay" probably in d process of being decorated becoz this Q is not subject to audit.At d present crude price, 40 may not be possible but 30 still maybe can.Based on media d golden days of crude oil 100+ is over may stabilise @ 90 for next yr info from Bloomberg.To make profit n to keep the compony going, we need volume so BE will hv to materialise, right now HS will be looking at all angles becoz BE is last chance for a good asset."My conclusion RI 30, price pushed to 42". Small profit good enough under d present circumstances for Suma no debts can be considered a fair O&G stock. Price war between Saudi/Iran vs US shale oil.Arabs wants d price to stabilise itself without cut in production.If price drops below 75 then shale oil drillers will hv to borrow money to drill or reduce production.Saudis feel low crude price is good for economy why disturb it moreover they hv plenty of reserve funds for many years to come n plenty of oil reserve.US trying to kill ppl but their backbone being broken now. As for Suma BE is one of d few remaining good assets which obviously will be purchased moreover they don't hv bank borrowings n eventually price hv to go up either by 1st or 2nd Q so no issues.Now d question is most of us here r caught not becoz we went wrong but with flowery media inputs but worst part crude oil dropped.We r frustrated so lets not blame anybody but wait for QR......my2c.....d way I see....?

KUALA LUMPUR: Sona Petroleum Bhd has received the Securities Commission’s approval for its proposed purchase of a 40% stake in two oil and gas blocks in Thailand from Salamander Energy for US$281.2mil (RM912mil).

Sona Petroleum said on Tuesday the approval from the SC was received the previous day as subject to several conditions.

The approval was subject to the joint principal advisers CIMB Investment Bank Bhd and RHB Investment Bank Bhd and also Sona Petroleum fully complying with the requirements of the SC’s equity guidelines, pertaining to the implementation of the proposed transaction.

The joint principal advisers and Sona Petroleum would have to fully comply with the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities on the implementation of the proposed deal and the issuance of the circular to the shareholders.

“Sona Petroleum remains committed to complete the proposed transaction under the terms of the sale and purchase agreement dated July 18, 2014,” Sona said.
