Negara-negara kaya yang mewakili sebilangan kecil penduduk dunia sudah membeli hampir separuh daripada bekalan vaksin Covid-19.

Kajian Oxfam menunjukkan negara berkenaan berbuat demikian meskipun sebahagian besar daripada vaksin berkenaan masih dalam peringkat akhir ujian klinikal.


Selain itu, Presiden Amerika Syarikat (AS) Donald Trump juga sudah berikrar bahawa vaksin berkenaan akan diedarkan kepada rakyatnya dalam beberapa minggu lagi.

Ketika ini, syarikat farmasi utama berlumba-lumba untuk menjadi pihak pertama yang mengeluarkan vaksin itu.

Sehubungan itu, Ketua Kesatuan Eropah (EU) Ursula von der Leyen memberi amaran bahawa langkah negara kaya terbabit akan meminggirkan hak negara miskin.

Dalam pada itu, kajian Oxfam menunjukkan bahawa kumpulan negara kaya yang mewakili 13 peratus daripada populasi dunia sudah membeli separuh vaksin Covid-19.

"Akses terhadap vaksin yang dapat menyelamatkan nyawa seharusnya tidak bergantung kepada negara asal seseorang atau berapa banyak wang yang anda dimiliki individu," kata Robert Silverman dari Oxfam America.

Oxfam adalah pertubuhan antarabangsa yang memfokuskan usaha membanteras kemiskinan.

Setakat ini, ada lima calon vaksin utama yang dalam peringkat akhir ujian klinikal.

Ia dijangka membekalkan 5.9 bilion dos vaksin dan cukup untuk disuntik kepada tiga bilion orang.

Bagaimanapun, Oxfam berkata, 51 peratus daripada dos itu sudah dimiliki oleh negara kaya termasuk AS, Britain, negara-negara Kesatuan Eropah, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, Jepun, Switzerland dan Israel.

Bakinya sudah dimiliki atau dijanjikan untuk dibekalkan kepada India, Bangladesh, China, Brazil, Indonesia dan Mexico.

As a result of the bonus issue, a total of 300 TOPGLOV shares will be credited into Mr X's CDS account on the night of 4 September 2020 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell the bonus issue shares of 300 on or after the Ex-Date ie from 3 September 2020 onwards."



Remarks 2:

The Bonus Shares will be listed and quoted on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") on 7 September 2020, being the next market day after the Entitlement Date. The Share Registrar of Top Glove will issue and despatch the notices of allotment of the Bonus Shares to all entitled shareholders of Top Glove not later than 4 market days after the date of the listing and quotation for the Bonus Shares on the Main Market of Bursa Securities.

The Board of Directors of Solarvest is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Solarvest Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. (“SAMSB”) has on 12 August 2020 obtained a Moneylender License issued under the Moneylenders Act 1951 and the Moneylenders (Control and Licensing) Regulations 2003 (“the License”) by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (“the Ministry”).

The License shall be valid for a period of two (2) years effective from 6 August 2020 and it is renewable upon the renewal application is made with the Ministry.
