In Malaysia such a Boleh-land, everything is boleh. The board of directors can manipulate the stock price to reach their desired price level. This is an open secret in Malaysia. Even the Security commission can do nothing to prohibit this. The Trop will be down trending for quite a period. It won't show any uptrend soon. We shall wait and see.

However, do you ever notice the stock price plunge (from the peak above 2.00++ to 1.30) for the past three months? The management always claims that they only care about the company's operation not the stock price. But, stock price is the most important thing that concerns shareholders, especially the retail investors. You see, the management actually did a poor job on private placement. I don't have sufficient information of what you guys were trying to do with private placement. However, it's very ironic how can the management issued the new shares at low price 1.78 when the price was beyond 2.00. Then, buy back shares at 1.90?

Yes, I notice this. They "guarantee" that the second private placement will be pursued at least at RM 1.78 per share. If you were the investor who is interested in accepting the new issues, would you make the deal? Definitely not because the existing market price is relatively cheaper. Their mess up their strategy anyway.

In a nutshell, this company's management is poor. This is what I would say. As the saying goes, tailoring you clothes that fit your body. They should factor in those expected adversity in the process of planning. We should not sympathize this kind of management and they must know their carelessness will lead to adverse impact to the stock price. Call Berjaya group to help them, perhaps there is still a chance. LOL

I think I have a huat-phobia now. Whenever our comrades say huat, definitely the stock price will plunge. Use other notation instead, like Heng, Ong etc, please don't say HUAT.

TROPICANA Trash management!!!! Tan's successors, his children, are those graduated from University of London. So, studying abroad does not necessarily imply they really know what is going on in real business world. Come on, shareholders only want to see their investment in the company is worth, ie the stock price is positively trending not going the other way round. It is apparent that the company's net asset value is considered high, app. 2.50 per share yet they issue new shares trhough private placement at 1.79. And then, they buy back shares at 1.90. They can't even now the simple mathematics. This is why investors lose confidence on this counter. Tan's family and Yau should be blame to this consequence. I can stand any more. I will only invest in those companies whose management is ethical, but in this case, it looks like TROP management is inconsiderate and unethical as well as disppoints retails investors who have been supported TROP for a long time. Management BUAYA!

Somebody tries to dump at 0.95. They may be those contra players who trade beyond their trading limit. As referred to the chart for past two days, the candles have been exhibiting long inverted hammer which implies that no enough momentum to push the price up. However, there is nothing go wrong with the fundamental. Therefore, my advice is: if you have money, just keep the stock. if you don't have money, DON"T PLAY CONTRA. Contra players always ruin the price trend.

Please do not ever place your hope on this counter. It's all trap. If I had millions of dollars, I would manipulate this counter and make it disappear from the Bursa board just to kick those lousy managers off.

Dear all, just hold it firmly. Investment is all about the art of patience. If I cut loss now, definitely I would be the moron. I find no reason why I should abandon this counter at the moment holding that the fundamental remains unchanged.

@hobson64: Yes, the businesses that they involve in are a bit different though within the same industry. However, they both have a very good growth prospect. When SKPETRO is re-listed on the market after the M&A between Sapura Petro and Kencana Petro, people were skeptical of it at the initial stage but later it proves that it had large upward potential because of the business prospect. For SCOMIES, it now restructures and forms a new entity that consists of SCOMI Marine and SCOMI Oilfield. People too are skeptical of it because of its existing low EPS and hence relatively high PE. With a substantial amount of order books, the current price level may not reflect the future income stream. Once the EPS improves, then the PE will drop accordingly to reasonable level and then people start thinking it is worth investing in this counter. Soon, the price surges again. Therefore, I recommend it is a good buy now. What I would like to share is the way they progress their business rather than how alike their businesses are.

This will be the second SKPETRO and UZMA. I can assure you guys! From now onward, if you are a fundamentalist investor, just ignore any price movement holding that the stock fundamental remains unchanged. Cutting lost at this moment is meaningless.

It's just a matter of time for this cash-rich company to climb up to 2.00 within a year. The company expands its engagement in water utility sector in Indonesia. This sector may contribute positive and stable cash flow to the company so it allows consistent dividend payout. Be patient, man!

@icon888: you are right. Refer to the past announcement made by the director, they aim to be a company which has a market cap of 3.0 billion. This gives a hint that the stock price will climb to 2.80.

@nicky: Brokerage firm's (Hongleong) target price is MYR0.90.MYR0.80 is the old one which does not factor in the additional order books acquired recently. Anyway, believe it or not. Petronas is going to award more contracts in November/December.

The stock price will plunge below 3.00 and then it is a good time to buy. In the first few days during the post-IPO period, people tend to be crazy to chase the peak. Soon or later, the price will reverse back to its rational acceptable level and I think it would be around 2.90-3.00.Brokerage firms' target prices are not reliable as they may be too optimistic being an underwriter. Think twice before you decide to get in now.
