The usual statement - No one is above the law. A stupid politician's equally stupid daughter not only breached the MCO but challenged citizens to lodge police reports. Your response, Tuan AG?

The MCO had been abused by different personnels manning the road blocks or even when stopped by the police personnel.

There have been cases when some authorities have shown compassion and leniency, where there are others who make use of the full brunt of their authority.

Handcuffing, hauling them to the police stations, wearing prison overalls, bringing them to courts, and some are just issued summonses that can be paid later.

If this is not double standards, then what to call such actions. Besides the treatment given to VIP'S.

Why treat them like criminals ? Why are there differenct judgements given out to the various cases brought before the courts ?

Respect for the law is lost if there is double standards. Examples abound overseas where ministers have resigned or demoted for breaking the MCO. If the government wants the respect of the Rakyat, the LAW must apply to all.

Digital divide is a double edge sword. Those who can maximize the technology will be ahead, with better efficiency and wider reach. Whereas there are equally many more who lack the access and know how will be left behind. Such failures are due to many reasons, above all the government. Failure of successive governments to prevent closing such gap had they spent wisely and been more serious with the change. Governments need to held accountable for such gaps.

Sure or not traderstrades? People are beginning to see the truth about Noor Hisham following what looks like an orchestrated publicity campaign including paid content on image influencer websites.

He was considered untouchable and medical professionals who criticised him for not dealing with difficulties on the ground like lack of PPE were viciously attacked in the media and threatened with the sack. Now we know their claims had substance.

Everyday when he announces the new data we are increasingly disbelieving what he says. The low numbers appear to be due to low testing. He repeatedly announces new clusters - even 2 million foreigners - who have not been tested so the numbers massively understate the potential. Our numbers are so low relative to other countries that it defies belief.

Now we know from yesterday's revelations that with Dzulkifley and Lee he was involved in the decision for not banning mass gatherings before the tabligh event which is the source of so many cases and deaths.

The numbers go up the MCO is extended, the numbers go down the MCO is extended. It's most likely that he's shooting in the dark and not in control like he says. The MCO will extend under Noor Hisham, millions of people will be harmed by that and he shows no concern whatsoever... so long as he is in the limelight that's all that matters to him and his fan club.

This cult of personality is dangerous - there was a time when Tun was the national hero and criticism of him was unacceptable... how easily Malaysians forget!

Indeed, I would caution for this to be taken with a pinch of salt. This may be Chinese propaganda to capture the hearts of Malaysians, lest we forget our recent past.

Did you know guys, U.S. Covid-19 death tally at 21,645 and positive cases more than half a million at 640,000 as of Thursday, while Malaysia has 110 death and 5182 positive.

That’s from U.S. population of 331 million and Malaysia 32 million respectively.

U.S. positive cases would be 0.2% of total population while Malaysia only 0.02%, ten times less than U.S. in percentage.

What is our testing rate and how many have been tested? Or are we only testing those who have symptoms and those who went to the hospitals?

Without sufficient testing, it is difficult to get true picture of those who are infected. And this is important as Covid-19 is asymptomatic during the incubation period but still able to infect others.

Manjit. Looks like compared to decaying USA, Malaysia is doing better. That is because USA is doing badly. No Majit, maybe from USA, thousands of miles away, you cannot see the realities here. The Malaysian government is sweeping everything under the carpet and waiting for it to explode. We have had two extension to our lockdown at tremendous cost to our economy and yet have not got things under control. If you have any reasonable intelligence, you would read that knowing the enemy is the first thing in any war. When you do not test, can you know where that stealth virus is? Like USA in early March, when testing was woefully inadequate, you are all paying for that in early April. Well Malaysian testing is selective ( chosen to reflect a certain narrative ) and at 2.65 per thousand. Nothing close to 10 per thousand as in Korea, or even 85 as in Singapore. So the enemy is out there waiting to explode. While, our economy is tanking, because of the prolong MCO. It has now become an issue of life and livelihood. No sir, Malaysian paints a nice picture for the world ( which is in chaos, thanks to your POTUS ). But we are not well. We are a time bomb
waiting to explode. Next week, supposedly, we will have the Korean rapid kit and do mass testing. We shall see the real numbers.

MMA has just released a statement urging the government to now resort to gradual relaxation of movement control measures. Ismail Sabri on the other hand has hinted that more stringent measures including further curtailments of movements which will likely be introduced after MCO2 extends next Tuesday.
Should Muhyiddin decides to pull the trigger again, this will the 3rd MCO imposed by the PN-led government and the 2nd time MCO is going to be extended.
MCO1 (March 18-April 1) was generally accepted by all Malaysian and most found it necessary as many parts of the world including China and parts of Europe has already experienced thousands of death casualties by then. Everyone was hoping that Muhyiddin has made a wise decision and the two weeks period of lock-down was accepted.
But a week before MCO1 was to end, Muhyiddin made a kiasu announcement and claimed that MCO1 has not delivered the expected results and, in his own words, 'out of no-choice', the country came under another two weeks of clamp-down. It was sheer disappointing indeed for the vast majority as this means there is no income for an entire month.
So if Muhyiddin were to make yet another extension, even if it is just for just another week into March 21, people will not take kindly with MCO3 as he will be seen to be making frivolous decisions.
No country in the world has so far made two consecutive extensions of lock-downs and by the look of it, Malaysia is likely going to be the first.
Each additional day the shut-down is extended, billions of ringgit in workers' income are lost. What about the losses of businesses of the industries that are gravely affected by the moratorium? Until today, i.e. on the 24th day of MCO, Muhyiddin has not even bother to inform us the losses the country is incurring each day of MCO. That speaks so much of his concern for the country.

OMG!

Come on Chief Secretary to the Government. You must be joking. You people are a disgrace with this 5% and 10% announcement.

Even the Sultan of Kelantan has forsaken 6 months of his emoluments. Daulat Tuanku!!

And you have the cheek to announce this meager cut after having a great meeting of Secretaries? Malaysians are suffering...some at the brink of depression and being lost what to do next.

While ordinary Malaysians grapple with what to put on the table for their family each day, you civil servants have your fat salaries banked in on the 24th of each month, thanks to TAX PAYERS.

Those in GLCs, statutory bodies and Civil Service A and Senior Grade staff should be taking a 20% cut in salaries.

CEOs of statutory bodies and all economic corridors should have their salaries cut by 50% as many CEOs are drawing RM 70k and above plus grand emoluments.

Please do not donate if you are not sincere. Your announcement smacks of insincerity. May GOD Bless You all.
