I remember in 2001 my fellow colleague used his bonus to buy a Sony CTV (that time was about RM5k) whilst i was using my bonus for 3 lots of TG IPO. The economic was quite bad then and the IPO was under-subscribed and i was given 3 lots. I remember the price was below par when it was first listed. But I kept and hold it for a few years and it went up to 5K + and i sold 1 lot and kept the remaining 2 lots. Also topped up additional lots as my children educational funds some 4 - 5 years ago.

Price ups and downs along the years / journey and the rest is the history. i just hold TG and others i.e. PBB, Carlsberg, LPI, PIE etc, like holding those shop-lot properties i bought once i have spared and extra monies in hand because i really have no time to monitor the share price every day due to hectic work schedules. I also bought Supermx in April 2020 and sold some before BI and still holding the rest. Of course i had also sustained losses in some long holding shares. You can not win all.

But how many investors could hold their shares for such a long period and also must hold a GOOD AND PROFITABLE Company like TG and others. i think i am just lucky, may be.

Just my humble opinion / sharing and please go for long terms investment, IF POSSIBLE. I trust that TG and other glove counters will go up again. Happy investing and Happy New Year 2021.

WealthSoWonderful. If my memory serves me right, i believe that the transaction in 2015 should be share-split i.e. from 1 share become 2 shares instead of bonus issue of 2 for 1. That makes the huge difference. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

2020. If someone holds 1 lot or 1000 shares since IPO the number of shares will be 40768 pre bi. After bi will be 40768 x 3 = 122304 shares. If 2 lots then would be 244608 shares.

Yes. 6 bonus issues and 1 share split since IPO in 2001. From 1000 units to become 40 000 units to date. This is the wonderful of the holding power. To all the newbies, please look and think about this. Just hold TGlove if you have the faith in it.

I remembered the counter was dropped below bar when it was first listed and there has been up and down in prices as well as bad remarks from Investment houses on its future since its IPO. I kept them for the past 16 years and it is a real big reward. We need patient in investment in shares and properties. A big thank you and appreciation to Tan Sri Lim and his Management.
